(Lmao it’s all good)
(do you want me to revive this or nah)
(I guess we can, sure)
Cade stood up and walked over to the new customer to great him, before realizing he was in the… mature section of the book store. He froze and began to back away, hoping the guy hadn't noticed him.
Rose, realizing where he was, mentally cursed himself and turned on his heel to walk from the isle. His senses buzzed and he looked over at the man who was standing nearby. The man practically set off mental alarms. And not just because the man was attractive, but because there was something about him. Something that seemed familiar.. He just could exactly place what that familiar thing was.
The man's eyes landed on Cade. He tensed and stepped back. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt…. That. I was just gonna say hi, but you can, um, get back to that if you want…"
Rose’s cheeks flushed a shade of red. “Oh gosh, no you weren’t interrupting anything, I swear I didn’t mean to go into this area,” he said in a quick, nervous tone. Oh, how terribly embarrassing..
"It's fine if you were, I'm not judging!" He said, laughing nervously. "But I can see how you would make that mistake. The signs on the bookshelves are pretty small."
“Yeah, I’ve never really been here before, anyways,” Rose said, rubbing at the back of his neck in a timid manner as his cherry red eyes glanced around the smaller space of the bookstore.
"I can tell," Cade said, smiling. "This place is small and old, so it doesn't get too many customers. It's usually just me a few other people that show up a couple times a week."
“Oh? I’m guessing you live around here, then,” Rose said, feeling pleased when his cheeks didn’t feel as heated as they had previously been.
"Yeah. I've been here since this place first opened."
“Oh wow, that must be nice..” Rose said. He wondered how old the place actually was. “Do you know how long it’s been around?”
Cade smiled, then froze. The place had been around since 1906. If he said that, it would give away his age, and he would have to explain that he was a demon. "Uh… I dunno. A while."
Ross took a mental note of the man’s hesitation and nodded slowly in understanding. “Okay then. I’m Rose,” he said, holding his hand out for the man to shake, smiling lightly.
He smiled back, shaking his hand. "Nice to meet you, Rose. My name is Cade."
Rose dropped his hand back to his side once Cade had shaken it. “Cade.. I like that name,” he said, looking up at him.
Cade felt his face heat up a bit and looked to the side. He smiled shyly. "Thanks."
Rose smiled a bit and nodded. “You’re welcome,” he said, scratching at the back of his neck.
Cade looked around for a moment, not sure what to say. "So uh… You from around here?"
No, Hell is a bit far away. “Not really, no. I just moved to the area a while ago,” Rose lied, it coming out with a slight stammer. He was an absolutely terrible lier..
(nice new username)
Cade smiled without looking back at Rose. "Well, maybe I could show you around sometime?"
(Aye thanks, it’s Spanish)
“That would be really nice,” Rose said, glancing down at his shoes. The stranger was friendly, but there was still something off about him.
He nodded, walking over to the beanbags. He turned to Rose, motioning him to follow.
