“We’re not ready to go yet…we’ll go soon. I promise,” Lilac said, trying to reassure him. “Trust me…we’re going to be okay,” she muttered, holding him close as she looked at Luka. Luka sighed. “Yeah, we’ll be fine…some of us just need to rest right now.”
Rachel smiled softly and patted Mori's back.
"Easy kid. We'll be fine. If any zombies come our way, I'll take em down in an instant." She said, adding a confident tone to her voice that wasn't really there.
She knew the risk of being in the forest. Especially now that the undead could see in the day.
But she had to stay strong. Otherwise, who else in this depressing group would be? Earl?
(THAT MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD-)
Lis had been pacing, watching the edges of the woods carefully for any more signs of zombies.
"Yeah, we'll be alright stopping for a moment. This is less so to rest and more so to patch up wounds we can't carry on with," she said, "We don't really have a choice."
Aspen nodded in agreement, careful not to wake Bean "just somebody tell me when everyone's done patching up, so I can wake Bean up." She said aloud, to everyone and no one. She shifted, and Arlo chirped from her shoulder quietly, tucking his head into his shoulder.
Bean cuddled up against Aspen in her sleep, smiling softly. Lilac held Mori close, brushing her fingers through his hair as she tried to think of what to add. Luka turned to look at Kas, still worried sick about him. As he could recall, Kas had looked really pale.

(Levi who hasn't slept in about 30 to 40 hours: naptime)
Levi stood next to Tohru, still watching the woods. He tried to listen to what was being said around and behind him but his mind kept going fuzzy. He went to rub his head but found himself tipping sideways towards the taller man next to him.
Tohru saw Levi stumbling a bit and offered his shoulder to take some of the burden off.
"Hey, you alright there?" He asked, "You weren't hurt, were you?"
He looked the other up and down. He figured it was more along the lines of exhaustion, but he just wanted to make sure before he started jumping to conclusions and missed something serious.
"Just tired." Levi yawned, accepting Tohru's shoulder. "Gonna be hard to sleep though, brain's on high alert." He tucked his hands under his arms, "And it's really bright."
"Yeah… understable," Tohru replied, "Several of us are keeping watch, so if you wanted to, you could probably get away with a quick nap. Otherwise, I hope we find a place soon. Everyone’s looking rough, and we need time to regroup. That farmhouse wasn't going to continue to cut it."
When Levi rested over on his shoulder, he brushed up against the part of Tohru’s arm that was injured, but he didn't care enough to correct him, even if it did hurt.

(Honestlyyyy, that's what I do to my partner)
Kas was very still in Luka's arms, although his breathing at least showed that he was still alive. His bleeding finally slowed, stopped by the fabric of his hoodie, and he seemed to relax a bit more.
Luka held Kas close, trying to stay calm about this entire situation. He was worried sick about everyone and it showed in his lack of sleep. He sighed, looking away as he pulled Kas closer.
Aspen stayed awake, watching the others as Bean slept on her, she kept an arm around her, careful not to disturb or wake her. Arlo fluttered around at her knees, hoping from one to the other, when her looked at her, she raised her index finger to her mouth to indicate being quiet, Arlo gave a soft chirp and fluttered onto her lap, considering she was sitting indian style, and tucked his head under his wing, waiting to fall asleep.
Lis was left running around, making sure everyone's wounds were tended to, and that everyone would be prepared to move on soon. She, like Tohru, was also keeping a close eye on the treeline, fearing that they would be bombarded by another horde of zombies.
Aspen watched the others, making sure they were alright, without getting up, when Lis passed she nodded to her, she eyes glazed over with fear, as she too, watched the treeline.
Bean stirred and soon she woke up. “H-Hm…?” she sat up, rubbing her eyes as she looked around. Luka was still holding onto Kas, worry laced onto his face as he started zoning out. Lilac was still holding Mori as well, still brushing her fingers through his hair. “I…Is everyone okay?” Bean asked quietly.
Aspen shushed Bean, and held her close, her heart beat rapidly and her eyes looked around rapidly, her fingers still combing through Beans hair.
“W-What’s going on? A-Are we under attack?!” she tried to stay quiet as she leaned against Aspen. Tears started forming in her eyes. Lilac wasn’t facing them so she didn’t see. Luka, meanwhile, was too zoned out to notice.
Aspen shook her head, "no, I just want you to get as much sleep as possible is all." She said quickly, yet quietly. Her eyes filled with sympathy, she wished Bean could wake up without being afraid of something terrible happening.
Bean leaned closer against Aspen’s chest as she grabbed onto her hand. “I…I think I slept enough…” she muttered before looking up at Aspen sadly. She wasn’t sure if she could even go back to sleep.
