Pain, pain was all Maze could feel. The blood from her head streamed down her face to her chin, and she watched as it dripped down to the ground. It was a mystery to her how she made it out alive. The flashes of a zombie throwing her against a tree and scratching her arm came to her. The feeling of losing so much blood mixed with her blurry vision made her want to puke. Dragging her legs, Maze knew she had to keep going or she would definitely die. The breeze stung her wounded arm. From her shoulder to her wrist was all torn open; Maze didn't have it in her to look. As she reached a clearing in the woods she stopped, she sighed a breath of relief, almost like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Now Maze didn't know much about zombies, so she was hoping the weren't smart enough to follow a blood trail. Her white hair was covered in blood. She was proud of herself for getting out of there. When she realized she may have a place to rest, even for one night, her tears began to fall, she was so exhausted. Making her way there, she heard what may be voices but decided to ignore it. Maybe there are people here? Should I just enter? Before Maze was able to do anything, it felt as the ground beneath her shifted. Her head hit the door as her body fell to the ground.

Mori jumped at the loud sound and opened his eyes, looking around blearily. He clutched the plush bird closer to himself, obviously confused and struggling to wake himself up. "Mmm…? What was that…?" He asked sleepily. Kas only stirred for a moment before settling back down, too exhausted to be awaken by much of anything at the moment.

Levi heard the thud of May hitting the door around the side of the house and leapt the porch railing. He ran to her and knelt down by her. "Hey, are you okay?" He asked, ready to carry her if she needed it, or attempt to anyway since she was the same height as him. "Rachel!" He called, "I may need your expertise!"

Tohru was dead asleep. Soon after Mori had gone, he crashed. Even the loud noise and Mori's movement couldn't wake him.

Lis smiled a bit at the compliment.
"Well, I picked up a lot from some of the people I was traveling with. It's not clean work, but you gotta do what you gotta do."
She gave a bit of pause when she heard a thump, and jumped slightly.
"What was…?"

May looked up at the person kneeling down. Their face was blurry. All she could do was a small smile, but soon the smile disappeared as she broke down in tears. Was this an angel? Was she dead? May figured dying would be easier than living in a world like this. Though she felt it would be sad to die, especially since she tried so hard to stay alive. If not for her sake, than she would fight to stay alive for Maze.

Earl unholstered his Beretta and followed Rachel to the source of the noise.
"The hell's going on Levi?" He yelled.

Rachel groaned. "Five minutes. I swear-OH MY GOD." She looked at the newcomer in shock.
"Her wounds are…damn it. Levi, help me carry her, GENTLY, onto the table in the kitchen." She said, kneeling down to pick May up.

Once Bean finished cooking, she wiped her now teary eyes and smiled. “Hey I’m finished,” she called out to Lis as she took the meat off the fire. Luka stayed asleep, since he was very exhausted. Lilac turned and sat up. “Who’s there?” she asked.

@ZephirFox8812

Levi carefully helped Rachel lift May and carry her inside to the table. "What do you need, can I help in any way?" He asked Rachel, desperate to be of use and not have another person die. He stabbed his fingernails into his palms to stop himself from being lost in memories again.

@Fraust

Mori froze when he saw Rachel and Levi carrying an injured person inside, his breathing hitching and his face paling. He hiccuped, his eyes welling up with tears as he clung to Tohru. "O-Oh god…" He whispered weakly. "Not again… p-please…"

@Luz_Noceda

Lilac rushed over to Mori as she tried to block his view of the newcomer. She wasn’t going to let him see what happened…just in case that girl died. “Shh…they’ll try to help her…” she whispered, hugging Mori. She couldn’t bear to see another person die either.

@Fraust

Mori clung to Lilac, his breathing growing quick and erratic. "N-No… please…" He whispered, choking on his words. "Why's everyone hurt…? W-Why can't… why can't they just be okay?" He hiccuped a couple times, struggling to breathe.

@Luz_Noceda

Lilac cupped Mori’s face in her hands as she tried to wipe away his tears. “I wish they could be but we’re in an apocalypse…people are going to get hurt. The least we can do is help them,” she tried to reassure him, but wasn’t sure if it was working. He was just a kid…he didn’t deserve to see this…

@Tactic_Mode

Rachel nodded. "L-look for any medical supplies. I have syringes and some bandages, but I'll need more pills, cleaning pads, alcohol." She took a breath.
"Check for major injuries, then syringe to stop blood loss, clean and bandage…" She muttered shakily.
"Then, when patient wakes up, give painkillers and hope for the best."

@Fraust

Mori drew in a few quick, harsh breaths and closed his eyes, leaning into Lilac's hands. He held the plush bird close to his chest in his arms, still crying softly. He was clearly still not entirely present from just waking up, but was very upset regardless, and it was hard for him to process what was going on. "B-But it's not— fair…"

@Luz_Noceda

“I know…I know…but we can’t save everyone,” Lilac choked out as her mind drifted off, remembering Hailey. “W-We can try…b-but….” she muttered, trying to wipe her eyes. She shouldn’t cry. Not right now. Mori needed her. Lilac took a deep breath before pulling Mori close. “All we can do is try…”

@Fraust

"I-I don't want anybody else to get hurt, though…" Mori whispered, huddling closer to Lilac. "P-Please…" He sniffled a bit, fidgeting with his hands and the stuffed bird.

@Luz_Noceda

Lilac held him close, rubbing her fingers along the small boy’s back. “I…I…I can’t do much…I’m sorry…” she choked out, trying to hold back more tears. “W-We can only hope they can help her…” she muttered.

@Fraust

Mori buried his face in Lilac's shoulder, trembling violently in her arms. "I-I don't… I don't… don't wanna be awake…" He whispered. "D-Don't wanna be here…"

@Luz_Noceda

Lilac scooped Mori into her arms and picked him up. She carried him out of the room. She was concerned how easy that was. “Okay, we’ll go into another room so you don’t have to see what’s going on…okay?” she looked at Mori as she carried him out.

@Fraust

Mori nodded weakly, holding tightly to Lilac as she carried him away. "O-Okay… okay… where are you taking me…?" He asked shakily, glancing around at his surroundings.

@Luz_Noceda

“Just into the other room. Close enough to head back when they’re done but far enough so you don’t have to see…” Lilac sighed as she set him down on to the ground. She sat next to him. “You should sleep…” she told him, pulling him close. “I’ll keep watch.”

@Fraust

"Okay…" Mori hiccuped again and curled up on the floor, still trembling from fear and the chill. "I-I'm sorry…" He whispered weakly. It took him a while to finally settle down enough, but eventually he managed to drift off into a light sleep again.
