He shook his head. "No no, ladies first." He replied with a smile.
He shook his head. "No no, ladies first." He replied with a smile.
Arabella puffed up her cheeks and slowly let all the air out. “Alright fiiiinne.”
Asher smiled. "Alright. You'll shower, and then I will." He said.
Arabella nodded, kissed him on his cheek, giggled, and then skipped to their bathroom to shower. She giggled softly at the sight of her paint covered self in the mirror.
Asher chuckled softly. He went to the kitchen and got out the ingredients, careful not to get paint on any of them.
Arabella showered as quickly as she could, huffing at the new length of her hair. It was much too long for her liking. She would have to go get it cut sometime. Or ask someone how to keep it out of her face before it drove her insane.
Once she had dressed she wandered back down the stairs. "You can go and shower, Asher. I'm done."
Asher looked up. "Hmm? Oh, alright." he smiled at her. "I got out most of the ingredients for you." he headed to the bedroom, and got into the shower.
“Thank you!” She hummed, looking at the ingredients with a bright smile. She hummed a small tune as she pulled The mixer closer.
Asher scrubbed at the paint flecks on his skin as he showered.
Arabella paused for a moment, wondering if she should start or wait for Asher. She was also considering the fact that she was messy as heck, and didn’t want to ruin the cleanliness of the kitchen.
She started anyways, biting her lip as she followed the recipe.
Asher finished his shower and got dressed, coming down to the kitchen. "Hey." He greeted.
She glanced back at him and grinned. “Hello! How was the shower?”
He smiled. "Good. How are the cookies going?" He asked, raising his eyebrows and walking over to her. He smiled again.
Arabella had just started the mixer up again after adding the wet ingredients, and glanced at it as he reminded her of the cookies. “They’re going good. Almost ready to cook.”
He smiled. "Oh. That's good." He replied. "What do you want me to do?"
“Want to help me put he dough onto the pans?” She asked softly, turning the mixer off and wiping her hands off on a towel nearby. “Just into small scoops
"Sure." Asher replied. He came over, and helped her scoop out the dough.
She playfully bumped hips with him, smiling as she helped him place the dough on the pans. Her smile never left her face, something she hadn't had for a long time.
Asher smiled at her again, and continued to work. He hummed softly as they did.
Arabella listened in quietly to his soft hum, her happy smile only grew as she bumbled about him, grabbing a few of the ingredients they were no longer using and putting them away.
Asher continued to hum. "Shall we put them in the oven now?" he finally asked when they were done with the dough.
“Let’s go it!” She purred in return, hopping up and down excitedly as she moved to open the oven doors. “I love the smell of cookies. I hope they smell good as they’re cooking!”
(Merry Christmas!)
Asher laughed, putting the cookie sheets in the oven with a smile. "Mhm. Cookies usually smell good while cooking."
(Merry Christmas!)
“Unless they’re burning. Then they smell bad.” She reminded him, smiling with a childish giggle.
He laughed. "Mhm, that's true."
