Asher smiled a little. "Yeah, sure." He grabbed a paintbrush and white paint, rolled up his sleeves, and got to work.
Asher smiled a little. "Yeah, sure." He grabbed a paintbrush and white paint, rolled up his sleeves, and got to work.
She watched him for a little bit, admiring everything about him before she returned to her paintings, humming softly as she continued on a planet that was being particularly picky about its colors.
Asher continued to work on the areas she had told him, a few flecks of white paint already somehow on his face.
Arabella hummed happily, pausing to watch him again, sighing deeply. “Is there anything you’d like to do today?”
Asher glanced over at her. "Hm? Oh, not really." He replied with a smile. "What about you?" He asked.
“Not much, just make a few cookies, spend more time with you.” She smiled and rubbed at her face, smearing a bit of red paint across her cheek. “I didn’t even try to like or get to know you before our wedding day. I want to make up for that.”
Asher nodded. "Alright." He smiled at her, and ran a hand through his hair. "That sounds good."
She watched him with a smile. “On another note, how do you like this planet so far? Is it better than before?”
(??? what??)
(Ah Sorry, she’s asking about her painting. The planet painting.)
(ooooohhhh okay lol 😆 I got confused)
Asher looked. He shrugged. "I don't know. I'm not exactly an art connoisseur." He replied with a soft laugh.
(Sorry for that. Stress rotted my brain XD I got really dumb really quick. I’m good now tho. We good we good.)
She laughed as well and shook her head. “I’m not a connoisseur either. I just paint for fun.”
(it's fine lol. I understand)
Asher smiled at her. "No. You're just the artist." He replied with a slight wink.
Arabella smiled back, sticking her tongue out at him playfully. “Hm I guess that’s true too.” She lifted her paintbrush to touch up on a spot of black that had been accidentally painted over, still smiling. “I think I might put a few shelves in here, for my art supplies. I’m going to use canvas and not just paint on the walls, but I also want it to be interesting to sit in here while I paint.” She hummed, trailing off after awhile.
Asher nodded, still working on painting his area. "Yeah. That sounds really cool." He replied with a quick smile.
She laughed softly, shaking her head as she finished another blank spot near by her. “I hope so. It’ll be nice.”
He smiled, and nodded. "Yeah." He agreed. He was glad that he had given her this room. She seemed far more alive, somehow, now that she had it, than she had beforehand.
More alive she was indeed. Arabella smiled more, spoke more, since she had been gifted the room. She seemed much happier then before, glad to have something to do while he was gone all day.
And yet something made her heart ache still. One day she’d be raising a child while he worked, their child. The thought scared her. She was too young to be a mother in her mind. Maybe one day she’d feel differently.
Asher continued to work on the painting. There was white paint spattered in his hair and on his face now, up his arms. He was smiling, though, as he worked.
She giggled each time she glanced at him and found more paint on his form. She herself had smears of red and black and white and yellow across her face and arms. She didn’t seem to mind, however, as she dragged a brush across her arm to check its paint.
Asher kept working, painting the areas she had asked him to paint. He was smiling a little as he worked.
Very quickly Arabella had finished the mural on the ceiling, crawling back down the ladder to stare at the beauty of it. She leaned against Asher’s back, sighing deeply. “There’s nothing more satisfying than finishing a painting.” She hummed, staring at the art she had just done.
Asher half turned, smiling at her. "Mm." He kissed the top of her head, looking at the mural. "I think I'd have to agree with you."
Arabella smiled back at him, tilting her head back to get a better look at his features. “Do you paint too?”
Asher smiled. "Nope." he replied with a laugh. "But I do music, remember?"
