Faye considered the offer. She would surly be lectured by her dad if she went back inside to stay there. “Where would we go? Do you know a place?” She asked, looking at Lila with worried eyes.

@ShadeStar

"Yeah," Lila responded, "I'm not completely homeless. Besides if all else fails we could ask Karina and Calixto if we could stay with them."

Dax ran fast, faster than he ever thought he could. He tried to stay out of sight of humans and Corsai. The wind played with his hair and gently breathed on his bare neck. He was free. He wanted to get to the South Sector, he wanted to live in peace, but he wasn't expecting what lay in front of him. Dax ran right into a wall bordering the two sectors. He winced back. The walls were iron. There was no way he could climb them. Dax followed the wall; there had to be some kind of entrance to the South Sector. There was nothing but iron as far as he could see, but he wouldn't give up. Dax trudged up a hill and ran into a human. He started running the other way, the human was sure to get back up. While running the other way, he ran into another patrol. Dax ran away from the wall, but more humans showed up. He was surrounded. He growled and lunged at one of the humans, ready to rip out his heart. He stopped. He couldn't. After a life of imprisonment, he always wanted to kill the humans, but he couldn't. Even after the Malchai family was killed, he couldn't. Even after everything done to him, he couldn't. His life of imprisonment had made him unable to kill. If he did, it'd be in vain. He'd be the next on the Block. Dax lowered his head in submission, and felt a swing to his head. Then, black.

(Yes, looks great! Poor Dax though)

Faye nodded, giving a smile. “Thank you, I really appreciate it. We should get moving, don’t want to give the Corsai a chance to catch us,” she said, eyes glancing to the shadows as she fiddled with the mandatory iron chain that hung around her neck, as all humans were required to wear one.

(I know ;-; I kinda feel bad now, but it almost feels good, y'know? Is it a writer thing or am I a psychopath?)

@ShadeStar

(I'm going to make Lila slightly weak to iron, because why not. Also yeah it's a writer thing.)

"Let's go then," Lila grabbed Faye's hand and walked through the front entrance.

(Yeah, you could just say it’s becuase of the bits of Sunai in her. Like if she doesn’t know about her Sunai father, she just thinks she’s allergic or something to it? It doesn’t effect Sunai’s as much as it effects Malchai or Corsai, but it does pinch their skin a bit)

Faye followed Lila at a quick pace, feeling slightly tense. She hadn’t left home before, not since her mother’s death. Would her dad be searching for her? Would he be more angry or worried? In thought, she traced the scars of claw marks that raked down her arm, but were hidden by the fabric of her sweatshirt.

(Uh we could always time skip to morning and Lila and Faye could go to the town square for something, and Dax could be on trial? They tend to do the trials for Malchai where everyone can see for humiliation reasons. So not an execution, they are just deciding what to do with him)

@Desvelarse pets

(Okay, so if you all want, we can say that Faye and Lila got back to wherever and we can skip to the morning to do the square trial scene)

Faye looked around, a slight smile on her lips. “Looks cozy,” she commented with a small laugh. It felt wrong to laugh after what had happened just minutes ago.

@Desvelarse pets

“Thank you, again, really. This means a lot,” Faye said, giving a quick, warm smile. She took a seat by one of the flames, letting her hair fall over her shoulders. “Do you think he made it?” She asked softly.
