Chase: Morning! Almost there
Chase’s father had given him a ride to school today, which was very appreciated in the cooler mornings. Chase got out of the car with his backpack slinging over his shoulder. He looked for Alistair the entire walk, across the school’s courtyard, into the school.
Alistair: Meet me in the music room?
Chase: I’ll be right there, luv! I can’t wait to see u!
Chase nearly skipped all the way to the music room. He couldn’t wait to see his boyfriend again, it was almost childish. But Chase didn’t care that when he saw Alistair, he ran up and kissed him without warning, his arms around his boyfriend’s neck.
Alistair smiled against Chase's lips and wrapped his arms around his waist. "You act as though you haven't seen me in years," he murmured with a chuckle.
“It felt like years!” Chase exclaimed, hugging Alistair tightly, “I missed you a lot.” Chase tucked himself under Alistair arm, , “We should eat lunch together here too, like we did Friday.” The only difference was that Friday they weren’t boyfriends.
Alistair chuckled, wrapping his arm around Chase. "Missed you, too, babe. And we're definitely eating lunch together," he said, leaning down and kissing his forehead.
Chase leaned into the kiss, “You’re so romantic, love,” He loved the little kisses he got from Alistair, just that fact that they were meant for him made Chase smile and intertwine his hand with his boyfriend’s.
Alistair gave a lopsided grin, "Only for you, babe," he said, nuzzling Chase's nose with his own.
Chase blushed, about to add something but the bell cut him off and he sighed, “Guess it’s time for English,” He kissed Alistair deeply again, “Good thing I share homeroom with you.”
"That is indeed a great thing," Alistair responded with a grin, taking Chase's hand as they left the music room.
(time skip to lunch?)
(Yeah sure)
Chase had thought about texting Alistair during class, but couldn’t find his phone so gave up on the idea. He counted down the hours until lunch, excitedly walking there with a smile on his face. He’d pick up his lunch, then meet Alistair in the music room. He smiled giddily all the way through the lunch line, and only halfway to the music room did he notice something different. Kemp and Jacob hadn’t bugged him yet, they had been sitting at a lunch table. Maybe they’re taking the day off? Chase shrugged, walking into the music room beaming.
Alistair was already in the music room, his lunch sitting on a table. He had headphones plugged into an electric guitar and was strumming away, eyes closed and tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth.
Alistair looked so cool and focused. Chase didn’t want to distract him so he approached from the side so he wasn’t in Alistair’s line of vision if he opened his eyes. He watched his boyfriend play the guitar, smiling and starting on eating his lunch.
"I'm an angel with a shotgun, fighting til' the wars won, I don't care if heaven won't take me back. I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe. Don't you know you're everything I have? And I, wanna live, not just survive, tonight…" Alistair sang, eyes closed, as he continued to strum chords only he could hear. "They say before you start a war, you better know what you're fighting for. Well, baby, you are all that I adore. If love is what you need, a soldier I will be…"
Chase couldn’t resist any longer, shifting the headphones on Alistair head so it wasn’t centered on his ear and leaned in so he could hear too. Chase gently touched his head to Alistair.
Alistair glancing up at Chase and smiled as he continued to play. When he finished, he put the headphones around his neck. "So, what did you think?" he asked.
(Pretend like that's an original song Alistair wrote, even though it's actually by the Cab)
Is that copyright I see?//
(Shhhhhhhh… It's totally fine… story purposes… yeah… *cough** i'm not creative enough *cough**)
“I love it, babe. Did you really write that? It was amazing,” Chase leaned on Alistair’s shoulders, offering him a bite of his sandwich, “You really should go into music, Alistair. You’d make millions and have tons of fans. And, most importantly, you really like music, I can tell.”

(Yeah whenever I try to write a song for story purposes I’m just like ‘this is the worst thing in the history of ever’ lol)
Alistair took a bite and smiled. "Thanks, love. Maybe I will? Who knows. It'll be easier once I can move out next year."
“Move out? Where do you plan on going?” Chase asked, trying to hide his worry. He didn’t want Alistair to leave town. He still wanted to see his boyfriend all the time and if he was halfway across the country… A thought popped in his head, “Maybe we could share an apartment together.”
Alistair's eyes widened and he grinned. "That's a great idea!" he exclaimed. "We should totally do that!"

-Cough cough nope cough cough cough what fans cough cough-
“Really?” Chase couldn’t contain his smile and kissed Alistair’s cheek, “I can’t wait! Where do we want to move? Somewhere in the city? Or by the coast? Where do you want to go?” Chase would be happy wherever Alistair was.
