"When I'm away, I will remember how you kissed me, under the lamppost back on Sixth Street. Hearing you whisper through the phone, 'Wait for me to come home'," Alistair finished the song and looked down at Chase with a smile.
"When I'm away, I will remember how you kissed me, under the lamppost back on Sixth Street. Hearing you whisper through the phone, 'Wait for me to come home'," Alistair finished the song and looked down at Chase with a smile.
“It was beautiful, love. You sing beautifully. And I want to hear you sing the rest of my life,” Chase snuggled close to Alistair as they walked. Chase was smiling and content. Just being with Alistair was perfect. Chase saw a little bench in the shade not too far, “We should do our homework over there, babe.”
"Thanks, babe. That looks like the perfect spot," Alistair agreed smiling.
(Want to skip the doing hw part?)
(Yeah, that’s what I figured. You want to skip over buying milk and such at the store and go to just before Chase gets picked up?)
(Sure)
(Idk why that posted twice lol)
(XD)
Chase had just gotten all his things packed up again when he heard a car pull in the driveway, and he made a pouting face at Alistair, “We should’ve told him to come an hour later instead. I’m going to miss you.”
"I'm gonna miss you, too, babe," Alistair said, cupping Chase's cheek and placing a soft kiss on his lips. "At least we'll get to see each other at school."
“It’ll be too long,” Chase complained, coming in to sneak another, longer kiss. He was barely able to force himself away when Mr. Goeman knocked on the door. Chase made another pouting face before heading to the door with his duffel bag over his shoulder.
Alistair pecked Chase on the lips again, then opened the door and forced himself to smile at Mr. Goeman.
"Hey, Mr. Goeman," he said.
Chase’s father had had a meh day, it looked like. He didn’t smile back at Alistair, instead just grabbing, more like ripping, the duffel off Chase’s shoulder and ordering, “Let’s go.”
Chase weakly followed his father, looking back and smiling one more time Alistair before getting in the car.
Alistair waved at Chase as he and his father drove away, then smiled sadly. He hadn't wanted their day together to end, and he wasn't a huge fan of Mr. Goeman. Pulling out his phone, he decided to text Chase, even though he had literally just seen him
Alistair: Heyyy
Chase felt his phone buzz, and tried to incognito pull it out of his pocket so his father wouldn’t notice.
Chase: Babe! I miss u already :3
Alistair: Miss u 2, luv. I wish u could have stayed longer >.<
Chase was just in the middle of typing a reply when his father spoke, “So who is Alistair?”
Chase tucked his phone away before his father saw, then responded, “He’s a friend I met at school. He’s really good at singing too, though he thinks he’ll become a lawyer,” Chase hoped that Alistair would go into a music career, but he added the lawyer part to appease his father.
Mr. Goeman glanced over at Chase before asking with a skeptical tone, “So he’s just a friend? I know you…” His father paused, before continuing, “I know you have that mental disorder. It won’t be very good if you keep on hanging around him, it will only make it worse.” Chase looked away so his father couldn’t see the heat rising to his face. It wasn’t out of embarrassment though this time, it was out of anger. He clenched and unclenched his fists. Chase had never felt anger like this before, and it just felt… strange, yet good. His father didn’t have the right to call it a ‘mental disorder’.
Chase forced himself to say, “No, no, we’re just friends.” His father went back to focusing on driving, so Chase pulled out his phone again.
Chase: I love you more than the sky itself.

(Aannnnd I’m back, but only for a little bit. I have to get up super early for an away game tomorrow and I know I’m going to be exhausted if I don’t get much sleep tonight….)
(ok, that's probably a good plan)
Alistair: I love you to, darling. Is everything alright?
Chase: My own father just said I have a mental disorder for liking guys
Chase hadn’t thought twice when he hit the send button. He was mad. His father was family, they weren’t supposed to treat each other like freaks. Family was supposed to be the people who loved you for who you are. Chase clenched his fist, glaring daggers at his father when he wasn’t looking.
Alistair growled to himself, his dislike for Mr. Goeman growing exponentially.
Alistair: He's a jerk and he's wrong. I'm so sorry, babe
Chase: I hate him. Family is supposed to be there for you, not call you a freak. I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for school to start.
Chase shifted in his seat. He’d be able to see Alistair again, and thing would get better. Chase nodded to himself as if to affirm it, even smiling a little. Because Alistair would always be there for him. That was a guarantee.
Alistair: Don't give him a second thought, he doesn't deserve it. How about we hang out after school on Monday?
Alistair missed having Chase next to him. He couldn't wait for Monday.
Chase: YES!
Chase smiled at the text, shoving his phone in his pocket before his father could see. They pulled in his driveway to the rickety old house he called home. He carried his duffel bag inside after his father, the man not even bothering to hold open the door. The smell of alcohol hit Chase hard today, like metal grinding against metal, since he had spent the night in Alistair’s nice smelling arms. His father’s girlfriend was probably a strong drinker. Chase went up to his room, the only clean place in the dump they lived in. He slouched onto his too cold bed, wishing he could snuggle with Alistair still…
(Timeskip to school?)
(Definitely)
Monday morning had come at last, and Alistair was a school early to meet Chase. After parking his car, he pulled out his phone to text Chase
Alistiar: Morning, luv!
