(dghsdbfjghb yess // It's a little girl riding a crocodile and the text on the bottom says "Ponies are for Pussies" lmao)
Nyx nodded a little bit. "What if I wanted to try sex?" he asked, quite innocently, but also very glad he couldn't blush. He blinked up at Jude, raising his eyebrows a little bit.
(cchhAHaH h0w did you come across it??? )
Jude was quick to grab Nyx's hand, shuffling out of the subway car as a few puzzled looks glanced their way. "Nyx," He said in a hushed tone, looking behind them before meeting his gaze with an uncertain smile, feeling himself blush, "We're in public."
(fhshdgdh I stumbled across it on WeHeartIt, actually lmao)
Nyx blinked up at him. "So?" He asked, a little uncertain as to why that mattered.
(Lmao stalking this never fails to make me smile XD)
(:D glad to be of service)
(ghahah)
Jude shook his head, looking back at the subway car as they walked onto the platform. "You can't really…You shouldn't really bring that stuff up in public," He said with a nervous laugh, "I mean you didn't know, but…It kinda makes people uncomfortable, right?"
(whoa i just realized we've had this rp for a year)
(:O oh my god it's so old–)
He cocked his head a little, eyebrows pulling together. "But…why? Doesn't most people do it? It's part of who people are, so what's the problem?" He seemed genuinely confused.
(0_0)
Jude shrugged, hesitating at the steps up to the street. "It's just…not something we talk about freely. Maybe with friends, but not on the subway," He said with a bashful laugh, finding Nyx's confusion a little adorable, "It's a privacy thing."
(:O)
Nyx stuck out his lip a little in thought, nose wrinkled a little. "But…" He trailed off, shrugging a little. "It's not like anyone was taking any clothes off."
(XD this made me laugh all over again)
(xD glad to be of service!)
"I know, I know," Jude laughed, leaning against the mosaic wall as they spoke, eyeing the rain-drenched commuters coming down from the street, "I kinda get where you're coming from, but still. It's not something people usually talk about in public."
He scrunched up his face, still not quite understanding. "But…why? It's a natural human thing, right? So why are people so weird about it?" He cocked his head at Jude.
Jude sighed, shaking his head as he considered the question. "I think it comes from…maybe the fact that people were raised to keep certain things to themselves," He said, wondering if he was communicating his point the way he wanted, "I guess that different people have different ideas of what's…appropriate to discuss. From what they learned growing up– or what they believe in."
He let out a faint hum, considering Jude's words. "Oh, I see." He said softly. "I guess that makes sense." He looked up at Jude with a tiny little smile.
Jude shrugged, wearing a gentle smile as he nodded. "Great, I'm glad you get that. My friends are pretty comfortable with joking about that stuff, so when you meet them don't worry about saying the wrong thing." With a glance up out at the rainy street above, Jude raised his eyebrows. "I think we're gonna have to make a run for it," He laughed, trying to plan out the quickest route home, "We'll never find a cab in this weather, and waiting for one in the rain is pointless."
He nodded a little, and peeked out at the rain with a curious little frown. He wasn't sure if he'd ever been in the rain before, and…he wasn't sure what to expect from it. "Okay." He said simply, glancing at Jude and then up towards the rain again.
Jude smiled as he offered him a hand. "Are you ready?" He asked, glancing up to the street for a second time, curious as to what Nyx might think of running through the rain. Would he like it? Would he hate it, and want to go back inside? Jude could hardly imagine the glee that Nyx might show if he found the rain to be a good thing; his awe-struck gaze had always made him smile.
He took Jude's hand, giving him a little smile. "Yeah." he replied, looking back out at the rain again and wondering what exactly this would be like.
Jude nodded, holding Nyx's hand as he began up the steps, feeling his mouth curve into a smile as rain fell on and around them. "Come on, we gotta make it home before we're totally drenched!" He laughed, tugging Nyx along through the crowds of umbrellas and bright raincoats.
(ooh what if Jude's friends are waiting for them at the apartment when they get back, like '?explain where have you been?for the past week?' you could write as one or a few friends if you like.)
Nyx laughed a little bit as they moved out into the rain, staring up at the sky and blinking the water out of his face, trusting that Jude wouldn't let him slam into anyone.
(yes! And they're like "who is this person" and Nyx is like. half-hiding behind Jude like "Jude who are these people, what's going on")
Jude couldn't help his grin as they moved past pedestrians, laughing as he half-heartedly apologized for cutting through and in front of them. "It's cool, right?" He said, looking back at Nyx in quiet excitement. Light seemed to catch the rain wherever it fell and running through the city streets, he forgot all their worries of RTI and drawing attention to themselves. "Keep up, yeah? We're almost on my street!"
(!mhm)
Nyx grinned happily. "It's gorgeous." He replied, rain soaking into his hair and running down his face, soaking into his shirt and leaving dark patches in the fabric. "Sorry!" He turned his gaze from the sky in order to be able to keep up with Jude, but he was still soaking wet.
"God, I don't know how these people can hate the rain," Jude laughed, holding Nyx's hand as they moved past raincoats and umbrellas. The taxis seemed to glow as they stuttered through traffic, and every time Jude looked back at Nyx, it seemed he did, too. Oh, that smile. His joy was plain to see, and Jude couldn't tell if the quiet fluttering in his chest was because of the running, or Nyx.
