Jude hummed, chewing his lip for a moment as he considered how many white lies and half-truths they could get away with. "Well…let's talk about it, then, get our story straight?" He said with a shrug and a softened smile as they walked through the museum, "We can talk about it later, if ya want. But if we're gonna meet them tomorrow of the day after, we should probably get a few things down."
He nodded a little bit. "Alright." He said softly. "And…" He shrugged faintly, biting his lip for just a moment. "I don't know. Thanks, Jude."
Jude shrugged, casually looking into the glass enclosures. "So…" He prompted, "Should we talk about it now? We're almost through this exhibit. You wanna keep going, or go out fo a bit?"
He looked up at Jude, shrugging for a moment. "I don't know." he replied, moving to kiss Jude's cheek.
Jude hummed, smiling as they wandered through the halls. "Well, you gotta make decision; you feel like stayin' or going?" He prompted, raising his shoulders in a playful shrug, "Whatever you like."
"We can go." he replied, smiling gently at Jude. "And get smething to eat, maybe?"
Jude nodded, stealing a glance at his phone to check the time, looking past the message notifications from his friends. "Yeah, for sure," He smiled, looking around the space for an exit sign, "You feel like eating at home, or finding somewhere to go for lunch?"
He shrugged a little bit. "Whichever one you prefer is fine." he replied, tugging Jude over towards the exit. "I don't care."
Jude hummed, smiling as the thought of what they might have for lunch. "Maybe we'll pick up some Chinese food on the way home?" He suggested, taking his final glances around the different exhibits as they headed for the exit, "There's this great takeout place close to the subway stop we get off at."
Nyx nodded a little, unsure what chinese food was, but not questioning it. "Okay!" He replied with a smile.
Jude smiled, taking Nyx's hand as they walked out of the museum. He hummed, glancing up at the sky with a pensive look. The clouds were already gathering into blue-gray tufts over the skyscrapers. "I think it's gonna rain soon," Jude observed, glancing at Nyx as a thought popped into his head, "You seen it before? Rain, I mean."
Nyx thought about it for a moment, then shook his head. "No." He replied softly. "I haven't."
"Oh," Jude said with a soft smile, wondering how Nyx would react to the look of and feeling of the rain, falling down over glass and fluorescent lights of the city. "This oughta be interesting then. Hopefully we won't get caught in it, on the walk home," He said, smiling up at the swelling rainclouds as they walked to their subway stop, "D'you think you're okay to be in water? It's not a lot, but still."
He thought about that. "Oh. Uhm…" His eyebrows knitted together for a moment. "I think so. I was designed to be pretty waterproof. As long as I don't have any exposed wiring, I should be fine."
Jude nodded, humming to himself for a moment as he took a glance around them. "Good, good, we'll be okay then," He said with a smile, pulling out his phone to order their food online, "And hey, maybe we can go up to the roof if we feel like staying out. It feels nice, especially when it's in the spring or summer."
He smiled. "Okay!" He replied happily, smiling up at Jude happily.
"Mhm," Jude smiled, looking up from his phone occasionally to check what street they were on, holding Nyx's hand as they made their way to their subway stop, feeling the air beginning to cool as heavy clouds drifted above. "What else you feel like doing today?" He asked, "Besides getting caught in the rain and eating some warm food. We're probably gonna have to stay inside."
Nyx hummed in thought. "Could we watch another movie, please?" he asked, looking up at Jude and cocking his head. "I haven't gotten to see very many of them."
"Of course, yeah," Jude said, nodding a little excitedly as they went down the steps and into the subway station, "You can choose whichever one you like; you know I've got stacks of CDs, and Netflix, too." He smiled, swiping his MetroCard for the both of them and walking through the turnstiles, "We can grab a blanket and make hot chocolate, it'll be great."
Nyx grinned happily. "Thank you, Jude!" he exclaimed, kissing Jude softly and walking beside him.
"Mhm," Jude hummed a little shyly, making his way through the station with Nyx by his side, leaning on the mosaic walls as they waited for their train. "I hate to bring it up, again, but we should figure out what were gonna tell my friends," He said, turning to Nyx with a soft smile.
Nyx grimaced. "Oh." he replied, thinking. "I…I don't know."
Jude shrugged, biting his lip for a moment. "Well…they're gonna have questions," He said, hoping they wouldn't have to lie too much, "Like…where you're from, or…what you're into."
Nyx nodded faintly. "Yeah, okay." He said. "So…what am I supposed to say?"
"Well…you don't have an accent; I dunno if they'll believe you're from here," Jude said, stepping closer to the edge of the platform as the train slowed into the station, "And as for what you're into, what do you think you could say? Animals, maybe?"
