"Ohh, so these are like, different ages and stages of…" Jude said, leaning to glance at the plaque of information, "Protoceratops." He glance down the far right side, and then to the left, "It goes from oldest and biggest, to youngest and smallest."
(ahaaahaa & jude's just blushing & shrinking into his seat like 'gUys sToP cAn wE pLeAsE tALk aBoUt SoMeThInG eLsE')
Nyx nodded a little bit, looking at the exhibit with wide, happy eyes. "Cool!" he replied, unable to squash the grin that had taken over his face.
(yessssssssss)
"Mhm," Jude nodded, smiling fondly as he glanced back to Nyx and saw his elated expression, leaning over to press a soft kiss on his cheek, "Cutie."
Nyx glanced up at him, and threw his arms around Jude's shoulders, bringing him down for a kiss. "Thanks for bringing me." He said.
Jude smiled in surprise, softly nodding as he slid an arm around Nyx's waist, "Yeah– of course," He replied, "It wasn't too far, right? It's not a huge deal, anyway."
Nyx leaned into him. "Maybe not to you." He replied, looking up at Jude. "But it's a big deal for me."
Jude nodded, pressing a soft kiss on Nyx's cheek. "Okay," He said with a faint smile, looking into his bright blue eyes, "I'm glad this is making you happy, then. That's all I really want out of this."
Nyx smiled up at him happily. "Okay." he replied, pressing close to Jude and kissing him again. "Now let's go look at more dinosaurs!"
"Dinosaurs, yes, okay," Jude softly laughed, smiling as he nodded and glanced at the other exhibits around them, "Yes, let's go see some more."
Nyx nodded, walking with Jude. "Okay." He replied happily, walking around.
Jude hummed, letting his eyes roam around the towering arrangments of bones, reading the staggeringly long names of some of them as he walked by the boards of information. He smiled at the sight of a museum tour guide leading a line of preschoolers to a far exhibit, the uniformed children hand-in-hand as they hurried along in excitement.
Nyx kept looking around with that wide-eyed, childlike wonder, holding onto Jude's hand.
"Hmm–" Jude sounded, smiling as he raised his eyebrows at the group of huge dinosaur skeletons in the middle of the room, his gaze travelling along the towering figures, "I think that's a t-rex right there."
"Ooh!" Nyx pulled him over to the figured excitedly, staring up at them with his blue eyes sparkling.
"Mhmm, wouldn't want that roamin' around," Jude said with a soft laugh, looking up at the seemingly menacing skeleton, "Nope."
Nyx grinned, and brought his hands up to his face to make fake fangs out of his fingers, giving Jude a playful growl.
Jude let out a soft laugh at Nyx's impersonation of a t-rex, shaking his head as he glanced up at its giant skull. "Yeah, not in my city. That would be a disaster," He said, smiling as he turned back to Nyx with eyes alight, "–But remind me to show you Jurassic Park, okay? 's a dinosaur movie."
Nyx's eyes lit up. "Ooh! I wanna see it;" he said happily, dropping his hands back down to his sides and smiling.
"Mm, you do?" Jude smiled, raising his eyebrows in quiet delight as he thought of the giddy fright of watching Jurassic Park for the first time as a child, briefly looking back at the towering displays of bones, "Steven Spielberg movies were my favourite, growing up. He's directed so many classics, it's ridiculous."
( hii :) so, i'm going on a trip for a bit, leaving a little later in the day ?tomorrow. im taking my phone just in case, but probably not gonna be active, so yeah. might be on tomorrow, but if not, see you in a few ? :)
(alright! That's fine, don't worry about it. Have fun!)
Nyx nodded excitedly. "Mhm!" he replied, bouncing on his toes a little as he looked around the museum.
Jude hummed, smiling as his gaze travelled over the long and towering displays and glancing curiously into glass-enclosed features of fossilized bones and shells. "It's still weird to think about," He said after a moment, "–That these things were just living and roaming around, until they just…died."
Nyx shrugged. "Well, everybody dies." he said, looking up at Jude uncertainly. "So.." he looke around at the skeletons again.
"Yeah, that's true," Jude said, nodding softly as he trailed a finger along the boards of information, "But isn't it a bit sad? They don't exist outside of what's left of them, here."
"Oh. Well, yeah." He said slowly, cocking his head at Jude. "I just…I don't know."
