"I havent seen you around, which high school do you go to?" He asked, wiping his hands
"I havent seen you around, which high school do you go to?" He asked, wiping his hands
"Woodcreek High," She said, sipping her drink "I've seen your face around town before, though i don't think I've seen you in any of my classes, what grade are you in?"
"12, I'm graduating this year." He smiled
Dierra nodded, "Nice, good for you." She looked down at her drink and saw that it was almost already gone. She sighed and drained the last of it, starting on her muffin again.
"What about you?" Kai asked, twiddling his thumbs
"Eleventh, one more year of torture," She spun her book around on the table and finished her muffin, pulling out a few dollars to pay for her drink and food.
"No need, it's on the house. The debate was wonderful, however I still think my position is stronger." He smiled
She shook her head, "I insist, it's one of the things I always do," she set a few bills on the table, "I could go an about how the book is beautifully written for hours, don't get me started." Her green eyes sparkled dangerously and she smiled, standing and grabbing her book.
Kai's eyes twinkled mischievously and he smirked "well then, how about accompanying me to the Cafe By The Sea and you can critique my judgement even more." He asked, in a light, nonchalant voice
Dierra thought about it for a moment, nodding after a minute, "Sure," she said with a small smile, "I've never heard of that cafe, is it any good?"
"I like it. It's small but cozy, and it's by the river so the name is fitting. There aren't as many annoying details!" He said, saying theasy two words slightly louder. "I heard that!" Alexia shouted from the counter.
She laughed and nodded again, "That sounds fun," She flipped her book open to a random page and then closed it again, looking around the cafe.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Pick you up at school?" He asked
"Sounds good," She smiled and tapped her book, "See you there." She waved to him once and walked towards the door, "I'll wait by the front doors of the school."
(Timeskip to then?)
(Yeah)
Kai leaned against his bike and waited for Dierra to come out of her school. He had seen a few people whisper and point to his bike ut he just smirked and continued waiting.
Dierra walked out of the school with her friend, talking about something. She saw Kai out of the corner of her eye and she blushed slightly, saying goodbye to her friend before she could get picked on. "Hi Kai," she smiled as she walked up to him, straightening out her sweatshirt.
"What's up?" He asked getting on his bike and holding out an extra helmet "ready to go?"
She nodded and took the helmet, debating whether or not to take her backpack off. "Should I leave my backpack here?" She asked as the put the helmet on.
"You can bring it, I can either hang it in my handle bar or you can wear it." He said, revving his engine
"I'll leave it on," She said, hesitantly getting onto the bike behind him. "I've actually never been on one of these," She said as she wrapped her arms around him so she wouldn't fall off.
"You best hold on then." He grinned and sped out of there.
Sometime later they arrived at the cafe
Dierra was smiling happy by the end of the ride, "That was fun," She unhooked her arms from around him and got off the bike. She took the helmet off and held it out for him, looking at the cafe, "This place looks nice."
Kai nodded and took the helmet "this was one of my favourite places to go to as a kid. I come here sometimes if I'm feeling upset." He smiled softly
