(Ok, so the meet and argue over a book nd leave on bad terms. They bump again and again in different places and realize they are falling for each other. Kai get mad and flies to the UK to escape his feelings and his past. Dierra comes there as an exchange student or transfers to the university there and the meet again. Kaius doesnt remember who she is and more drama follows)

Kaius Lennox, a highschool senior, had just walked into the Moonlight Cafe when he was covered head to toe in flour. Staring wide eyed at the teenage girl infront of him, he groaned "Alexia Adams I am going to kill you!" He yelled. Alexia Adams was one of his best friends. Her family owned the cafe and offered him a job there and he accepted, which fool wouldn't? The customers had grown used to the sounds of them laughing and arguing. They sometimes joined in. It was because of this warm and inviting environment that they had Talent Thursdays.

Ten minutes later, Kaius cleaned himself off and grabbed his guitar. He had decided to play a song today. It was the middle of May and the weather outside was gorgeous. He made sure his backpack and textbooks were safe before strumming a few notes. Then he started singing

I see you dancing down by the water side
Smiling so bright, your face shone with light.
And I pull you closer, closer tonight
And the whole world stops, stops for this night

shattered glass, I held my heart
As you walked away
Closer now, closer still too far away
And the my teardrops shatter the light
Shining so bright
It was bro-Ken colours I saw
Bro-Ken colours I saw

tearful eyes and heavy heart
Laughing in the moonlight
Shattered light…
Why did you leave me tonight

shattered glass, I held my heart
As you walked away
Closer now, closer still too far away
And the my teardrops shatter the light
Shining so bright
It was bro-Ken colours I saw
Bro-Ken colours I saw

Dierra walked into the Moonlight cafe, a book in her hands as she sat down at one of the tables and started reading. It was one of her favorite spots in town and she smiled, happily looking forwards to the summer before her senior year of high school. She tapped her foot against the floor as she read, hearing someone singing in the background.

Kaius finished his song and smiled. He gestured for the next person to come perform. "Kiki, theres a customer at the back table." Alexia called, smirking. Kaius frowned "dont call me Kiki." He muttered and walked to the back

Dierra kept reading, not giving a second thought to the music when it stopped. She was fixed on her book, reading as fast as she could and not hearing when someone walked up to her table. She flipped another page and continued reading.

@gracehustle

"Vanilla latte," she said, bookmarking her page and looking up at him, "could I also get a blueberry muffin?" She did her best to give a polite smile, knowing that it probably looked fake.

@gracehustle

Dierra nodded, "Yeah, our teacher gave us several books to choose from to read and I chose this one, it had to be a nonfiction book as well," she held up the book and looked at the cover, "It's called Unbroken, and it's really cool so far."

@StarkSpangledMayflower_Mad_Elder

(Is it a real book? I feel like I've read it lol)

"Oh. I find it had a stupid concept." He said simply, leaning against the wall. Soft classical music was playing in the background and when he looked back, he saw an old man on the piano.

@gracehustle

(It is a real book :D it's actually one of my favorite nonfiction books)
She frowned, "How? It's the story of a POW," she looked at him and set her book down on the table.

(quoting directly from Goodreads reviews with slight modifications, because i havent read it)

"Well, because it is a a poorly written, exaggerated, sensationalized version of a true story. I admit that Laura Hillenbrand has put in a respectable amount of research however the weaving of her facts is not subtle at all. The characters in the book are so shallow and one-dimensional and apart from Louie and his family, the only other characters that really stood out were his raft mate and best buddy, Phil, and his most sadistic prison guard dubbed The Bird. Far be it for me to disparage war veterans, especially POWs who’ve endured the kinds of crushing abuse that Louie and his fellow service men have, but how is it that we are able to get such detailed minutia over 50 years after it all went down? These were all life-changing, and in some cases traumatic, days in your life and it’s a safe bet that most, if not all, of these events took place more recently for you than 50 years ago. " he said. Hearing his name, he walked over to the counter, "Got yourself a girlfriend i see." Alexia grinned. Ruffling her hair, he smirked "Not my girlfriend , a book nerd like me. we are having a debate. He walked back over to Dierra and set down her latte and muffin "Your Order Miss."

@gracehustle

Dierra just gave a sharp nod, "Thank you, but I'll have to disagree about the book, it's wonderfully put together and she made all of the characters come to life, along with the background and just the whole story." She took a sip of her latte and glanced up at him.

@gracehustle

"There is one part that I'll agree with you, but it's only one scene, you can't judge every word of a book by how accurate it is." Dierra brushed a strand of her blonde hair out of her face and took another sip of her drink.

@gracehustle

She shook her head, "You don't, that's why you do research and interview people who were there, or who knew the person." She shrugged, "Would you be able to remember every detail that someone told you about someone you've never met? Or someone you've only talked to once or twice?"

@gracehustle

"And you're oversimplifying a beautiful book that's full of facts and is actually written in a way that's fun to read." She said, starting to eat her muffin.
