"Sit down, Saul," Ben ordered. He hurried over and took Eve out of Anya's arms to sit her in a chair. Instantly, she curled into a ball on the chair and hugged herself to keep warm. Ben studied her for a moment. "Cryo-Inducement. It's curable, but I'll need help with the mixture while I help Saul with the Zanbaq."

"right," she said and sat next to eve. she was putting off a shit tone of heat. a bit of smoke fell from her lips as she was overusing her magic

"Anya, don't drain your magic. Farah–" Saul stopped talking instantly, and the room fell silent.

Ben picked up Saul's thought. "Farah isn't here to fix it if something goes wrong."

"i know! " her voice cracked " i know.." she whispered and finished the grinding. " whats next."

anya walked by the other to to get it, the heat coming off her was as hot as steam. she mixed the two, " now?"

Deleted user

Saul looked her firmly in the eyes. "Do not go out there alone, Anya. I mean it. If you have any respect for me, you will listen."

"Keep grinding it," Ben said, glancing at the contents of Anya's bowl. "It needs to be practically nothing."

" alright." she said and sat back by eve " and what other option do i have? i dont have a team, i was trained alone. remember."

"Sure, but you have Eve now," Saul remarked.

"Boil some water, Anya," Ben instructed.

Eve's trembling was getting worse, and so were Saul's cuts despite the Zanbaq.

anya was starting to tremble as her hands boiled a beaker of water. "now?"

@emilyevewrites group

"Yes," Saul said. "You didn't have her before, which was why you trained solo. But I've never seen such a skilled and compatible pair of fighters like you two."

"I have," Ben muttered pointedly, glancing up at Saul, who looked away quickly.
