(Kali isn't in the temple)
(Sorry if I seem rude I just don't want there to be any confusion.)
"your about to go deaf for a minute, I'm gonna try and open the door." he mad sure they couldn't hear anything, before stepping back from the door, using his sound ability to produce shattering screa,s at the door. the only thing that happened dough was him being blasted back by darkness from the door. He cursed, his ability wasn't on them anymore so they could hear things again.
"Why wont this door open?" he grumbled. He couldnt even hear the water rushing in anymore. neither could alister or noel.
The siblings scrambled out of the way, at first wary of the door being destroyed, but they managed to avoid only a wave of darkness instead. Alister covered his ball of light with his hands, hoping it would stay intact, but he could see it getting dimmer.
“Well, we’re not children of Darkness, are we?” Noel said, her shoulders tensed.
Evan didn't hear them, and just continued to glare at the door. He wasn't aware that noel had said anything. do I still have them muted? He turned around and saw her lips move but didn't hear anything. It still took him a while to respond,
"I guess not." He wanted to turn back around to face the door but if he had to lip read then he wouldn't be able to read there lips, already knowing they didn't know ASL.
"I think it turned off my powers somehow." He let it slip out, speaking his thoughts out loud.
“Oh shoot,” Noel turned to her brother. “That’s why he took so long to answer.”
“Is that why the light is dimming?” He asked, focused on the ball in his hands. He was thinking that maybe the door was diminishing their powers too.
“Honestly? It’s probably not just that. The sun is definitely setting by now, and the darkness in here isn’t helping things. Also, you’ve only made those things… twice before?”
“Three times, including the one that was put out while we were singing.” It made him think of how Evan had pulled him into a dance, causing him to blush slightly. Unfortunately, it also made him lose focus, causing the ball of light to go very dim.
Noel, still able to see Evan’s figure a few feet away, went over to him and grabbed his hand, pulling him back to their spot near the wall.
with it getting dimmer he had to squint to read their lips and even then it was hard to see and find an accurate response to what they were saying. He sighed, he tried to be optimistic but he couldn't help but worry. He let Noel lead him over to alister and thems spot, sitting down next to alister.
"I hope Kali and Ignis are okay…." He looked down frowning.
(Magic is like using elements but not as easy. Certain skills like enhanced senses and teleporting can be used but not as powerful. Like fire. You can cast a range of fire magic but Ignis can manipulate and control all fire. You throw a fireball and Ignis can light you up with a look. While magic covers almost every element, it's not nearly as easy to use or control. Magic is very unpredictable and spontaneous.)
(Oh interesting. Thanks for clarifying)
Ignis's aura faded as he wasn't able to awake. The stone levitated above Ignis's chest and became unable to be moved. Ignis lied on the grassy plain and he too was unable to move. The stone spewed a red aura like a waterfall on and around Ignis. Whatever this water was, was scarier than Ignis had ever faced. What corrupted magic could do such a thing? Kali, Evan, Alister, Noel…watch out…
(Elementals are also able to use magic but are only strong with magic using their element. If Kali used a fireball, it would be weak. A ball of solidified darkness would be much more effective with her. Just an example.)
Honestly Kali was trying so hard to focus, muster some darkness. Something, something to help ignis. She noticed his aura gadding and then the stone doing something, she hoped it was something useful because she sure wasn't any help. No. Focus, she held her hands out and started to create a ball of darkness, it slowly getting bigger before flickering and going out.
She noticed how the sun was setting, okay it's night I should be able to conjure something she took a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
She stroked his head gently, darkness started to radiate underneath her palms. She tensed her brows in concentration as more darkness manifested, don't get frustrated, don't get frustrated, don't get frustrated. Just focus. Darkness struggled to come out even further. She pushed even harder straining herself to make it come out in choppy clumps. All the darkness that came out would seep into ignis, restoring his lost energy. She eventually stopped, darkness stopped and she started to breath again. She took off his hoodie and folded it setting it down and laying his head on it. Then she stood up and screamed into the night air. "STUPID FRICKING MAGIC STEALING INFUSED MAGICAL WATER!" she yelled cursed words into the night air, kicking things and punching things.
Ignis woke up, feeling the stone helping him somehow. He was barely strong enough to stand. He groaned with every muscle he used while getting up, "That…took more magic than I anticipated."
"Ignis!" Immediately at his side, "you do realize that you just have to sit up, I would not suggest standing up." Crap that sounds dumb, and obvious. Oh whatever. She huffed. "you had me worried jerk." She huffed. Great now that sounds selfish, why am I even caring this much?!
"Do you know what that water was?"
Ignis sat down, at first feeling pain but better after he sat. Ignis peered around him, seeing the difference between when they came to now, "I fear it is Darkness. If not her then something far more dangerous. Plainly speaking, I do not know what this water is. As for your worries, I'm too good lookin to die now." He attempted to laugh but it only ended in painful oughing.
When he mentioned it might be darkness, she immediately stiffened up and looked up. Her encounter with darkness when she opened the door came to mind. She had talked about how it wouldn't help Kali take one more step, had she been right? Did she try to drown them? She didn't even notice his joke she was so lost in thought, she did hear his coughing though, she summond some normal drinking water on the second try, she handed it to him and sighed.
Ignis saw Kali stiffened. He was even surprised when she didn't hear the joke. Ignis took the water but just sat it down. He moved close to Kali, their shoulders touching, "Wow, hey you are just lost in thought. I only imagine what goes on in there." He slightly and playfully nudges Kali to get her attention.
"hm?" She noticed as he set the water to the side. "you need to drink this you know. Don't just set it aside idiot." She crossed her arms at him. She didn't even blush at how close they were, which was immediately strange. He heard the thought comment and just sighed again looking to the side. "You have no idea." What if darkness was targeting me and ignis just happen to be there and he got hurt? What if darkness found out how much I cared for him and tried to use him against me?.. she looked down at the ground, her eyes fogging up with these thoughts.
Alister stared at the ball in his hands, almost frozen in place. Noel turned to him. “I’ll take it. You’re better at comforting people than I am.”
He gazed at her gratefully, a smile creeping up on him. “Thanks. I have a feeling you could take care of it better than I could.”
She took the dim ball of light, and Alister sat down beside Evan, putting a hand on his shoulder. He wished he could say something, but he doubted that he would understand.
(Night)
(Dang it it didn't send-)
Evan looked at him before leaning against him seeking out silent comfort.
(Night.)
Ignis got up against the pain. The feeling of his muscles ache and strain. To be physically weak and fragile. His head raced and his heart beat fast. He wasn't sure what the water was made of nor why Kali seemed to worry. Whatever this problem was, he doubted such magic could just be casted.
the thing snapping her out of her dark thoughts was ignis getting up, which made her get up. "If you wont sit down then at least take some pain meds,….not that we have any….ugh!" she huffed, frutrated. she could barely even help ignis it felt, yet again like she was a burden. Now that she could barely use her darkness, she fel useles she couldnt summon things, couldnt shadow travel. wait…she forot she had light, she hadnt mastered in but…maybe she could- no. it wouldnt work.
she covered her face with her hands, honestly kinda wanting to cry.
"I dont know why…but for some reason darkness attacked us possibly trying to drown us…and i think the reason you got involved is because your close to me." So bascially your like this because of me and your hurt because of me.
hiro noticed ignis and kali. he rushed over " whats wrong? what symptoms did he have before he became like this" ( has hard time intergrateing into chat ;-;)
(yeah sorry, kali's not exactly gonna be nice, i apologise but she would probably just end up ignoring him. sorry dude.)
