Armand stood in his office, now looking at his notes while comparing measurements, using syringes to add and subtract different chemicals and compounds. He'd read the warning from Harri. She wanted results, and now. "Need more resilient fighters. Now." it ran through his head until it rang like a dial tone, drowning out how he felt about what he was doing. She'd get it. He had to think to himself, wondering if she knew the difficulty of the task she'd set him up for, how painful it would be. He scowled, using math to wash his thoughts away. He finished mixing. Armand placed the syringe on his desk and checked his notes once more, to be sure.
"Rowan," He called, "Are you awake?" After nearly five whole minutes of staring at the chemical solution.
(yeah I'm camping but I'm trying to get on whenever I discover a data pocket out in the woods or when we go into town or down to the beach, like now :P)
(is Kodiak still locked up, do i need to do anything important?)
Rowan woke to the sound of Armand's voice. She sat up, immediately noticing her leg was sore. "Yeah. I'm up." She called out to him in reply, running her fingers lightly over the stitches.
(Yeah, they'll get the letter thing back soon I think.)
(Also Otter I'm so sorry. >/n/<)
Armand unlocked the door to Rowan's room after shaking his head violently and forcing himself a smile. His smiles always looked forced anyways, right? "Good morning. I have something I think you might be interested in." he cleared his throat, moving her to the open examination area, settling her snuggly in the chair that sat there. "I wanted to show you a formula I've been scheming for a while now. I've just finished making it today, though. It has the combined set of DNA to help make your tissues much more resistant to damage, and regenerates you quickly." He presented it as though it were a power point presentation.
(I just feel bad because it's sad tooo)
Rowan was off put by the attempted smile twisting Armand's face. Something was wrong. She looked around at the hissing chemicals and beakers around the room. None of them looked… pleasant. "Congratulations on your discovery!" Rowan tried to be cheerful. She was mostly confused. What does this have to do with me? She wondered silently.
He wasn't being convincing. He nearly grimaced but resisted, thanking her instead. "I appreciate it, Rowan. Certainly." He hated himself. "I was hoping this would be something you'd have some interest in testing. The first test would be to see how quickly the solution can heal your foot." This part was true. He found some solace in the fact that she indeed would be physically impervious to damage.
"My foot?" She winced in pain a little as she tried to move it. "It's sort of sore. Do you think that would help?" She inquired, an innocent smile on her face.
He nodded, "Of course, it's like a rapid healing process. The tissue will multiply in production, healing your foot, and the pain in a much shorter amount of time than that of a human." He picked up the syringe, a purplish liquid although very clear. "We shouldn't have to re-administer." He'd hold it in his palm, allowing her to look at it.
Rowan tapped at the liquid curiously. "Is it going to hurt?" She looked up at Armand.
"The shot will not hurt, no." He sighed inwardly, though he still assumed a pleasantness. "There will be some testing, that may be, uncomfortable. They're to test that the solution is working properly."
"Virtually indestructible sounds nice. As long as I don't end up with stone skin." She joked. "If you really think it's best for me then go ahead, doc. I'm no medical expert." She leaned back in the chair before flipping her arm over to expose her veins. "I'm not a big fan of needles so try to make it quick." Rowan instructed, tightly closing her eyes.
He was relieved he could coax her into it. He didn't want to have to force her. "Slight pinch and a warm feeling is what I expect you to experience," He pressed her skin with the thumb to help the vein protrude a small bit more. "let me know if you experience anything else, it will be valuable information for me." He quickly pressed the needle into her bloodstream and pressed the plunger; quickly but not so fast that it would hurt.
Then Yuki came in and sat down. “If you don’t mind I’m just going to watch for a bit. I don’t really have anywhere to go. Plus, it would be nice to see how Rowan is doing.” She hoped she didn’t sound desperate. If only she had a home to go to. Yuki reminded herself that she didn’t need a home to kill President Harris. She shivered. What If my home is the lonely prison cell?
(Oh god the pressure's really on 'im DX Oooh this could be Armand's last living dayyy)
Rowan winced as soon as she felt the pinch, but the warmth was a welcome feeling. At one point she felt almost feverish, but it subsided. She opened her eyes as soon as she heard her friend's voice. "Yuki!" Rowan exclaimed worriedly. "You should have left by now." She said, stressing over her friends.
“Petree is gone. I don’t know where to go, so I’m just going to make sure the doctors being nice to you.” Yuki looked over at Armand. “Take good care of her, okay.”
(I have to go to work so I'll be gone for around two hours. Take care of Rowan as you see fit!)
(I think this'd be better to do together, I can wait if that's alright, not many others seem on right now)
(Yeah when Nyir's back we'll do Kodiak's gladiator battle Whoooo)
(Only if you’re against me lol)
