"I don't even need the serum to say this, by the way: both of you are complete assholes for this." Kodiak brought his left leg up to cross over his right, and he began to fidget with the laces of his boot. "You have no idea what you're doing."

@SincereBeastie

"Please refrain from talking aside from answering questions." Armand held his finger up. You were the one who made us Kodiak, I can't ignore this any longer, he thought, resting his elbow on the arm of his chair.

Yuki thought she heard talking outside the cell. She heard Kodiak and the other general working for President Harris. Probably a good time to escape, she thought. The only problem was they sounded like they were in the same room as Rowan.

Yuki heard Nyir ask Kodiak the question that would prove his disloyalty. Yuki pulled apart the bars of her cell and activated the breakthrough alarm.

@SincereBeastie

Armand was prepared. A thick metal alloy wall unfolded down in front of Yuki's cell at the press of his device. He knew he couldn't hold her off forever and had learned not to underestimate her strength, but it would buy them a little more time. The Breakthrough alarm subsided for a moment.

"It depends," He replied without hesitation. "Do I support her? Yes. Do I support what she does and stands for? Hell no. There are innocent people out there dying just because she thinks they're not deserving of a home. I love what she's done for our society, but that behaviour is unexcusable."

@SincereBeastie

Armand cleared his throat. "You know why we're doing this, Kodiak. Please." he made a note. "Yesterday, you met up with commander Nyir while detaining rebels outside of the center. When you arrived near the gate, you were asked to tighten the restraints on the captives. Did you do that?" Armand's head ticked. He was almost relieved it would soon be over, that it pretty much was, though he felt a little bad.

@WriteOutofTime

Nyir didn't let him get to her. Or she tried not to. In any case, she tried not to let it show. "Have you been supplying the rebellion with illegal information?"

@Oakie Dokie

"Yes, and I'm proud of it." He knew there was no turning back now, but it was for the best. Plus, it wasn't like he had a choice in the first place. That's just how President Harris worked. No choices meant she always won.

@WriteOutofTime

Nyir felt herself losing control. Her heart beat quickened, her eyes narrowed, her hands clenching and unclenching beneath the desk. She bit out, slowly, with care, "Did you…did you supply information to the 14th Freak Regiment? Did you have anything to do with the attack on City 18-C? Did you kill my husband, Kodiak? Did you?"

@Oakie Dokie

"You killed your husband!!" Kodiak exclaimed, rising from his seat and bearing down on Nyir like a fox over a tiny, helpless rabbit. "I had to do with all of that, you know I can't lie right now. But has it ever occured to you that maybe by supporting that rich bastard 'president', you're eradicating everyone you love? You know damn well she ordered that sector left unprotected. That had nothing to do with the rebels. So no, you little bitch, don't blame everything on me. Just because I'm a supposed traitor doesn't mean your sorry ass is perfect, either."

@SincereBeastie

"ALRIGHT!" Armand snapped, growling. "The session is over." he stopped the recording, stepping his smaller framed body between the two, facing neither of them. "Both of you, sit. This office is not built on unprofessionalism." He eyed them both. "I suggest we deal with this how we're supposed to." Armand sighed.

@WriteOutofTime

When Yuu'mi died, President Harris sent her a card. A little "sorry that happened, rebels are monsters" type card. Nyir had decided on anger that day –she could have chosen to grieve, to give up, but instead she chose to fight. If the rebellion killed her husband, then she'd kill the rebellion. She knew she wasn't blameless. She'd wanted to protect City 18-C, but she'd been called else where, told off for trying. But this? This was… She didn't raise her voice. Her tone dripped with betrayal and hostility and grief but it was quiet, "Don't even try it, you bastard. Leaving a sector unprotected is so incredibly different from murdering innocents. Your people murdered my husband, and then you lied to me about it. For years. You led me to trust you. We were friends. Cut the bullshit, Kodiak. You've never cared about me, not really." She leaned across the table so that they were inches apart. "You're a murderer."
