//wait isn't he a he?
Rylan walked back towards Theo and Santiago, the air force jacket loose and big on her. It was odd to see one of the Republic's most wanted criminals in Republic colors. Theo motioned her over and sat down next to the blue haired girl. Rylan sat down next to Santiago, sighing from the exhaust of walking on her new leg.
"As you know, the Patriots are attempting to take down the Republic's government and Elector." Theo explained, motioning towards Rylan. "You've escaped them two times. Once at an execution. The people love you, Rylan, and we could use you to start a rebellion."
( pretty much, his memory was wiped and he's a soldier now. Santiago and Flynn might have known him at the University )
"But, mainly, we'd like to use you as a distraction. Nearly all the Senators and Electors will be at a party in the Gem sectors in a few days." Theo continued. "We would send you in and you could stall them. That would give us enough of time to do what we need to do."
"What do you need to do, Theo?" Harlow asked.
"The Patriots are planning to assassinate the Elector." He sighed, glancing at the blue haired girl next to him. "People like Peyton over here are our best snipers. With Rylan's help, we could get a good shot on him."
"Lovely plan… but if this is a party, him dying would be pretty obvious."
"That's what we're going for. When the Elector's dead, he has no heir. Senators would be dissorganized and in their own arguments." He explained. "This would give us some time to get into the Gem sectors. That's where Rylan comes in again, to inspire the people."
"I agree with Harlow. That's a grand plan. . . but I'm not the type to inspire people." Rylan shrugged.
"Sure you are." Theo replied sincerely. "Your all the people can talk about. 'The Girl Who Escaped the Republic.' "
"It's not like she's the first. I know tons of escaped criminals," Harlow muttered. "Besides, inspiring the people is nice, but maybe one out of ten will actually do something. And if they start rioting, the Republic starts a crackdown. People die. It's a good plan for now, but can't we come up with a better one?"
Theo frowned and nodded in agreement. "What do you have in mind?"
"Nothing much. I'm a criminal too, you know. I shoot things. I don't strategize," she said, pacing. "I know a thing. You're going to need more than inspiration. You need to… I don't know. But we need more than one person out of ten to do something."
Rylan nodded in agreement. Theo glanced at her and turned towards the blue haired girl, Peyton. "We'll talk it over with the Patriots. See if there's something better we can do. Feel free to walk around the warehouse or through the sector." He said, standing up and walking towards the boards on the walls.
Rylan tried to get up three different times, her prosthetic buckling under her weight. She limped towards Harlow, swinging her new leg forward. "What do you want to do?"
“Dunno,” she laughed, wrapping an arm around Rylan to help her walk. “You?”
"Hm. . ." She paused to think. "Run around the sector and go into bars like old times? Or something a little more fun?"
“Don’t think you’re up for running, but I could use a drink. Or maybe there’s an arcade or game store around here.”
"Drinking sounds good." Rylan winked at Harlow and grabbed Santiago's hand. "Let's find a bar." She smiled and started to walk towards the exit of the warehouse.
“To the bar!” Harlow laughed.
//timeskip? to where?
( Just some random bar )
//kk
Harlow helped Rylan into a seat, then sat down next to her. “Have you guys got margaritas?” She asked the bartender, leaning on the counter.
Rylan glanced to the side, where different fights broke out and people called catcalls out at girls who walked by. She tugged her jacket closer to her and decided to focus on the bartender.
Harlow followed her gaze, before turning back to the bartender.
“Sure. Just gonna need some IDs,” he said. Harlow handed over her fake /pretty sure I said she was 17 or smthing
Rylan nudged Harlow and motioned to a group of guys in the corner of the room. "They're cute, and you seem kind of lonely. Why don't you go. . . talk to them."
