//just a few injuries lmao
“Well, I hope Theo gets Alec,” Harlow muttered as they reached the car. She gently set Rylan in the backseat and started the engine. “Santiago, can you be our medic for now?”
Rylan opened her eyes at Santiago's voice, but they slowly closed again. Everything was muffled, Theo and the Patriot's shooting at those following after the three.
(I feel like Harlow and Santiago are eh, but Rylan is not good at all.)
( yeah Rylan is not okay. . . )
Santiago nodded quickly and got in the backseat with Rylan, angling her head against his thigh. “Come on, compañera, open your eyes for me. Just concentrate on my voice,” he said softly. He checked her leg and bit his lip. He shrugged his jacket off and tore some of the cloth from it, wrapping it around one of the wounds as a temporary bandage.
//yES But too Okay members on a three person team is good. Not amazing, but good.
//oops I used the wrong two
Harlow reached for a cardigan on the passenger seat and did her best to tie her shoulder one handed (not doing well), while driving them away.
Rylan opened her eyes at the sound of Santiago's voice. Her amber eyes were faded and her breathing was shallow and shaky. "Am I alive. . .?" She murmured
Santiago exhaled in relief and worked on the other wound. “Yeah, you are. I’m here, and you’re going to be okay. All you’ve got to do is stay awake for me, yeah? Can you do that for me?”
"Yeah. . . I think I can." Rylan sighed, looking up at him. Memories of the past three days flashed in her head, but none of them seemed to fit together.
"We've got, say, seven minutes before we can get to the Patriot base. Can you hold on for seven minutes until we get a proper medic? No offense, Santiago, but I don't think you're really qualified for this."
“Good. Just keep talking to me,” Santiago said. He finished on her leg and checked over the rest of her. He lifted the edge of her shirt slightly to look at the wound on her stomach.
“Non taken,” Santiago said. All he was trying to do was lessen the blood flow.
"Is your family okay?" Rylan asked softly, looking up at Santiago.
“Yes, they are okay, thanks to you,” Santiago said softly. There was nothing else he could do for her, so he just gently held her hand with his, and ran his fingers through her hair gently with the other.
A few minutes later, Harlow stopped the car. "We're here, get her inside," she said quickly, looking around.
Santiago nodded and got out of the car first before lifting Rylan into his arms carefully. He took her inside quickly, asking a medic for help.
//timeskip now?
(Yeah, that’d be best.)
Harlow sat on the edge of her bed, waiting for Rylan to wake up.
Santiago hadn’t been allowed in to see Rylan yet. He was told that she needed to rest after a surgery. He sat on the edge of a gurney, a medic treating his wounded shoulder, eventually putting his arm in a sling.
(just tell me when I can jump back in lol)
