"Your commander got me good." She replied, breathing in sharply.
"Your commander got me good." She replied, breathing in sharply.
“I could always carry you,” Santiago commented, flashing a quick smile.
"Let's get out of the streets first." Rylan laughed, winking at him.
“Alright,” Santiago responded, chuckling. They walked for a while longer, and had reached a decent distance, considering Rylan had a bad leg.
After a few more minutes, they made it to an alley. There were only a few drunk people.
"Let's take a break." She replied, slumping against the wall. Her brow was furrowed in pain and sweat beaded on her forehead.
Santiago leaned back against the alley wall. He motioned for her to sit down. “Let me check it to see how the stitches and bandages are holding up.”
She sat down on the ground, brushing her hair back from her face.
Santiago sat next to her and moved her pant leg up carefully. A bit of blood was beginning to show through onto the last layer of bandages, but the stitches seemed fine. “You should be okay, just needs fresh bandages. Do you have those pain pills I gave you? They may make you feel better,” he said as he dug through his pack for a roll of fresh bandages.
Rylan dug it out of her pocket and popped two in her mouth. She watched Santiago as he worked on her leg.
Santiago carefully removed the bandages that were on her leg, then wrapped fresh ones around her leg tightly. “How much farther do you want to go before we find somewhere to stay?” He asked as he tied off the bandage.
She looked around. Rylan had never been in the Ruby sector before. She turned back and focused her gaze on Santiago.
"I don't know if I can walk for very long. We could probably get a couple more blocks down so we're far from the city's center."
“Alright. There may be a hotel a few blocks from here,” Santiago said. He finished with her leg and moved the material back down over it. He collected his things back into his bag and looked at her. “Do you want to rest for a moment longer or go?”
"Maybe, just rest for a little. . ." Rylan sighed, leaning against the wall again. She pulled her jacket closer to her body as the wind got colder.
“Okay, we can do that, then.” Santiago sat next to Rylan, his back against the wall. He looked towards the entrance to the alleyway, watching to make sure none of the government officials are nearby. He assumed that they had to have already picked up his error in the system, and that they knew the two were gone.
(Oh wow I think I missed a lot XD)
(Yeah, just a bit lmao. Do you want a rundown, or did you skim it all over?)
"Why did you help me. . .?" Rylan asked, focusing her gaze on Santiago. "You could have become a commander and been the Republic's hero for catching me."
(rundown plz Im too lazy, but like a short one)
( technically, Santiago and Rylan escaped because they moved her execution day up. They're going to message you when they far enough. )
“Yeah, I could have, but I have morals. The government is pretty corrupt, and I don’t think it’d be easily changed by one man. Besides, this is much more fun, compañera,” Santiago explained, smiling at Rylan.
(How should Flynn jump right into action again?)
"And how exactly is this fun?" She raised a brow as she leaned in and grinned.
(I guess they’ll call Flynn, Flynn could talk to Alec about finding them to “turn in”, then join them instead?)
“It just is! No responsibilities, we get to travel around, and the running away part is just thrilling.” Santiago slouched his shoulders to get more comfortable.
She nodded in agreement. "My life is quite thrilling." Rylan turned towards Santiago and grinned.
( be on tomorrow. It's late where I am )
(Yeah, same here, it’s getting late.)
