@ElderGod-Carrots

(So this will probably be the last time I'm active at this particular time for a while. School starts up again Monday so I should be getting a good amount of sleep and I probs won't have my laptop in my room either)
Tanrial thought about it for a moment, blowing a handful of clouds down to Bernon, "It's certainly possible. If there's water and forest beasts, why not have sky ones? Although I haven't seen any before, only birds and other strange flying creatures."

(Okay, thanks for letting me know! Good luck with school, fam!)
"Yeah…..maybe they're more rare or something. And the poor kid's an orphan, so she won't ever quite get the parenting she was supposed to get. But on the bright side, Rick and Fear seem like they'll do a great job of raising her in their own way. She just might have to be self-taught when it comes to flying."

@ElderGod-Carrots

(lol thanks :) I'm doing half online/actual schooling so idk how active I'll be but I'll reply when I can)
"Hm, that's true. Or who knows, maybe after we're gone she'll find a friend who also knows how to fly and they can teach her. We dunno what's gonna happen, nothing is set in stone these days."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial snorted, "Bernon, you're not going to squish anyone. We can see for miles and I'm sure you'll see someone bellow you and dodge them easily. But, beach it is." She followed him down, gently gliding down and slowing when they were landing, making sure they were out of anyone's way to prevent potential injury.

Bernon landed with a decent amount of grace and balance on the sandy ground, only stumbling and awkwardly flapping a little bit to avoid falling on his face. Folding his wings, he made them disappear with some concentration and started off towards the tavern. "Okay, let's go find Mike and tell him what happened. Knowing him, he's probably all worried and getting ready to dive into the lake to look for us by now."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Her own landed was less then graceful and more awkward then anything as to avoid Bernon but Tanrial couldn't care less. Her wings folded and disappeared in a matter of seconds and she fell into step with Bernon, "Probably. Or he's pacing around the tavern and mumbling to himself about how stupid we are."

Bernon chuckled. "I bet he's doing both." Walking up the wooden stairs and along the dock, he got the tavern door for Tanrial and let them both inside.
Mike was indeed pacing back and forth at the far end of the room, talking restlessly with the bartender. The minute he saw Bernon and Tanrial enter, he straightened and walked quickly over to them. "There you are. What in the heck happened to you two? How did you dive straight down into the lake and end up on the opposite shore a minute later? Are you okay?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial smiled, patting Mike on the shoulder, "Glad to see you're concerned. We should have placed a bet Bernon on whether he was pacing," She gestured to a nearby table, "How about we sit and explain?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Mike did so, frowning. "Okay….I guess neither of you are injured, that I can see."
"We're not," Bernon promised, sitting down as well. "We just found a shipwreck at the bottom of the lake that had a bunch of monsters in it."
"What?" Mike glanced at the two of them. "What kind of monsters?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Ah well, there was this huge and when I saw huge I mean flipping ginormous creature that looked like a cross between some form of reptile.. dragon thing and a sea lion," Tanrial rubbed at the back of her neck, "And then these small weird mermaid like things but they were far from peaceful or pretty."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Mike narrowed his eyes. "Really? The villagers never mentioned anything like that…..did they follow you to the surface, or stay mostly in the shipwreck? Maybe they only live in the deep parts of the lake, if they don't bother the boathouses."

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Well the smaller things whatever they were tried to follow us but Bernon zapped them with some lightening and they disappeared while we swam away. I think they just stay down there to themselves in the wreck."

@ElderGod-Carrots

"And the shipwreck? Nothing, we could only see a few feet in front of us with the light. For all we know there could be more ships and other weird monsters down there."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Well, it's a big lake. There's a whole arm of it that goes north for miles, you can't even see the other side. There's no telling how much it's covering up." Mike sat back, staring out the window. "So after that, how'd you get back here?"

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Oh, right. You guys have wings, that's handy." He looked at them sternly. "Although I still think that if you didn't have magic, you wouldn't be so reckless in the first place. But either way, I'm glad you're back safe."
"Me too," Bernon admitted. "It was a pretty scary episode to be honest. But at least now we know where all the bodies from the shipwreck went. Those creatures probably ate them all, don't you think Tanrial? Maybe they even helped sink the ship to begin with."
(I have to go to bed now, seeya)

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Seeya)
"I wouldn't doubt it, they looked like they were going to eat us so they probably eat all the other soldiers. Do you think they ate the bones too? I mean that's a pretty morbid thought but maybe if we'd swam deeper we would have found them."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

Bernon shuddered. "Eugh. I'm glad we didn't investigate any further, to be honest. We'll have to leave that for whichever intrepid explorers find this place after us."
"It's good to hear you have some sense, at least," Mike remarked. "Well….there's still some day left. I think what we should do next is get packed for tomorrow, make sure we have everything in order before it's late and we're all tired. Then maybe we can come back down and have a quick supper. Sound good?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

"So boring." Tanrial replied, sighing dramatically even as she stood to head upstairs to pack, "But, suppose you have a point Mike, like always."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"I guess we gotta attend to the boring stuff once in a while," Bernon said, following her. "And yeah, I'd rather do it now than when I'm ready for bed. Let me know when you have all your basic stuff packed, Tanrial, and I'll divide up the rations we got from the market between the three of us."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Tanrial nodded, "Okay, sounds good. I'm sure if we asked we could get some bread from the tavern before we left or some dried fruits to keep us going. Just in case. You never know what could happen on a journey like this."

@Young-Dusty-the-Monarch-of-Dusteria group

"Very true. Coming, Mike? I feel like you barely have anything to pack, knowing how light you like to travel."
"I'll carry more of the rations, then, to make it fair." Mike trotted after them, seeming to have plenty of energy despite how active he'd been all afternoon. "Who's gonna carry the data drive? That's pretty much the most important item we have, so it has to be kept very safe."
