Pollux awoke lying on a stone floor. Somehow he had been spared just enough from the fire to survive. His whole body hurt, with the exception of some places that had gone numb, they had been so severely burned. Everything was so surreal. Even if burns hadn’t killed him, he probably should have suffocated or bled out from other injuries, but he didn’t. He rolled over on his side to try to make it a little easier to breathe, but he just started coughing instead. He was entirely unaware of the other young dragon riders who had just entered the village.
(Anyone want to join my new Rp called Time runner?)
Nox perked up a little when she heard coughing.
Did someone just cough? she asked, I think I may have heard someone…
Farron frowned a little, "Nope… wasn't me at least…"
Pollux slowly started to push himself to where he was sitting up in the middle of the rubble. He wasn’t so sure of what he should do next, but he would at least try to carry on and find a way to get revenge on whoever did this to his family.
He was sitting about twenty meters from where the other riders were searching, still trying to take everything in.
"We should spread out and search the place. See if there's anyone left alive." Farron scanned the surrounding area from his place a top Ysethen.
“Yeah, of course,” Aurelius agreed, beginning to move towards a section that appeared to have been houses, “Let me know if you see anything.”
Farron nodded, "Right, got it." He said before moving towards where Pollux was.
Pollux started coughing again. He was still trying to come up with a plan. He was too injured to move without pain, so he was afraid he was just going to die here, like everyone else.
Pollux started to try to stand, but he fell back into the rubble, something clattering underneath him. His vision went a little black around the edges, but he managed just barely to not faint from the pain.
Lucky came back to the others with Onyx in her arms. Seeing as no one was there, she took him to frost and started bandaging his paw
“Everything’s gone,” Aurelius said as he finished searching his section of the village, “I don’t even see any viable evidence of who attacked… I mean, we already know it’s the same people who destroyed our village, but… you get the idea.”
"Hey! Over here!" Farron called out, climbing off of his dragon and making his way over to the coughing he heard, "Who's there?"
Pollux used his hands to push himself back up enough to look to where he thought he heard a voice. He did not respond, for fear that the enemy had returned to pick off any other survivors.
Farron frowned at the silence that followed and he took a few more steps towards the now absent sound, "I'm not gonna hurt you, if that's what you're afraid of. Our village went through the same thing…"
“I’m right here then…” Pollux rasped, his voice hoarse from the smoke and coughing. He tried to crawl towards Farron a little.
Farron sprinted the last bit of land between him and Pollux, crouching down to his level when he found the guy, "Gods… come on, let's get you up." he wrapped an arm gently around Pollux's waist.
Pollux let out a sort of hissing noise at first, in response to the pain from the pressure being put on some of his burns.
“Gods… gods bless you…”
He tried to use his legs, but they were mostly just shaky and useless.
"Okay… either I'm gonna have to carry you or somehow get you onto Ysethen. Which would you prefer?" Farron asked, giving the guy a concerned look.
Quincy walked over to where Farron and this new guy was. A survivor, she moved faster, "Hey is this guy alive?"
"Just. Can barely move, though." Farron said to her.
Quincy lit up a little as she dug into the bag hanging at her side, "I can help with that! Thank the gods someone lived."
“Doesn’t matter…” Pollux said, “Whatever you can do easier.”
Aurelius heard then talking and looked over to see Farron trying to support someone. He felt a little shaky. This might be the only one left.
"What's you name?" Farron asked, trying his best to not sound worried.
“Pollux,” he replied. He started coughing a bit more and was heavily relying on Farron so he didn’t fall.
Quincy walked over with some of her remedies, "Pollux, I can help you out if you'll let me."
