(Guess I'll just jump in now and you guys will see it later.) Mara hopped onto Riven's back and stay close to the others but from the ground. I wish I could have helped more, but since I'm a lot smaller than them there's not much I could have done. Mara shook her head and smiled. "Riven, your fine they way you are, no one blames you for not being able to do what that do so your fine." Mara hated that Riven was so hard on himself. "Are all of you okay up there?" Mara and Riven seem to be the only one who weren't wounded.
Lucky looked down and nodded “yeah.”
"I'm fine. I've got a big strong dragon to carry me around," Aurelius replied.
The truth was, he was still in a lot of pain, but he figured since Nox was able to do most of the heavy lifting here, he would be okay.
(I don't want to spend too long on their journey. We can eventually skip ahead to the destination, if you guys would like.)
(Sure)
(sure)
(I'm fine with that)
Aurelius had nodded off draped over Nox's back. She was careful not to let him fall, but let him sleep because he needed it. But then he woke up suddenly as they drew closer to their destination.
"Nox, what do you see? I thought I smelled smoke."
Lucky was laying on her back on frost. Frost was cooling her body enough to work with Luckys body heat. She was staring at the moon
"Lucky?" Aurelius called feebly, "I'm not crazy, right?" He sat up a little straighter and tried to look over Nox's shoulder. However, the fog below them was too dense to really see anything.
Lucky sat up and shifted so that she was facing the front “you’re right, it smells like smoke.” She said worriedly
"Are we close to the village? Nox, dip down a bit."
Nox lowered some and pulled ahead. An area, all big enough to be a village, was glowing gently. Embers and rubble were where the houses and other buildings should have been.
"Oh, dearest gods…" Aurelius muttered, "Is this… is this real?"
Arioch and Zuriel followed close behind Nox. Arioch's eyes couldn't believe the carnage and the fire.
Jade and Quincy had been with them quietly the entire time. Because this is how I'm bringing them back in. Quincy opened her mouth and said quietly, "This can't be real."
"No one appears to be around. Should we search for survivors?" he asked frantically, "Oh, gods… I thought we were the only ones…"
(Lol it's all good, Shade. I just kind of assumed anyone who wasn't with us at the time we were rping was just following)
(Okay, good.)
"Any survivors we find would be helpful." This… this awful… what would make someone do this to a village?
(Y'all can make survivors from this village if you want. We don't have to introduce them right away.)
(ok)
"You guys, theres a village up ahead." Mara figured the smoke would be to thick up in the sky for them to tell what it is. Riven and Mara speed in front of the others to take a closer look.
"Was, is more like it," Aurelius replied, "I'm not sure where else we can go after this."
He stroked Nox's neck to comfort himself.
(I wasn't very clear about this, but it's a different village- the one they had talked about escaping to.)
(Okay.)
Name: Pollux Ravelli
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bi
Appearance: Just shy of 6', muscular and densely built, golden skin tone, dark brown hair that's shaved on one side, lots of piercings on ear, one on lower lip, another on nose, a few tattoos that are mostly hidden by his clothes
Personality: Confident and cool, focused, extraverted, likes being the leader but is willing to listen to others and follow when necessary, tends to bottle up emotions a lot
Dragon's name, appearance, personality:
Background (occupation, social class, backstory, etc): From the village to the north (which I have yet to name); took up healing as his trade, because he thought it was where he fit best, but he's also an excellent fighter, grew up in a pretty normal family, did lots of patrols and was a prized fighter and field doctor for his people until the attack
Other (optional): Weapon of choice is a battleaxe, has asthma that's poorly controlled but rarely ever life-threatening (usually he carries around herbs/medicines to lessen his symptoms, but they're still a pain, especially as someone who is active), had a very close friend (Castor- who would've guessed?!) that he refuses to believe died in the attack
