(Aww, and okay)
(I'm on)
(Heyo! I was opening boxes from online shopping lol)
(I’m back if anyone’s here)
(Yeet, I’m still here)
(Hi! I guess we can wait a few minutes to see if anyone else shows up. I’ve got a few things I need to do real quick, but I’m here.)
(Alright, cool. I’m not going anywhere so I’ll be here too)
(When am I not here?)
(That's a big mood. We can get started, maybe, since we have 3 people. Let's just leave it open enough that others can find a place to jump in should they come online in the next little bit.)
(Okay, that sounds good)
It was nearing evening the day following the attack, and Aurelius was still nervous. Surely they hadn't been chased down yet, so the enemy must not know where they were yet. Even then, he was concerned. By some stroke of luck, they could still be discovered, which would spell disaster for the group in this state.
Aurelius had been curled up next to Nox most of the day in an attempt to regain his strength, but at some point this was all too much.
"Hey… I know I've been pushing for this for a bit, but I really, really think we should leave."
Quincy glanced around. Her attention turned to Aurelius, "I am inclined to agree, but if you aren't up to strength were not moving."
Farron looked at Aurelius from his spot on Ysethen, fiddling with his dagger, “I think that’s a good idea. Even though we haven’t been found that doesn’t mean there isn’t search parties looking for survivors.”
"I've been resting all day. I still feel a little weird, but I think I'll be okay. Nox has me covered," Aurelius said, "Farron said exactly what I've been thinking. We're still too close to that village for comfort. I won't be able to rest easy until we're far away."
"Fine," Quincy stood and moved to mount Jade, "Let's get a move on then."
“Then let’s get going then.” Farron sat up straight on his dragon, slipping his dagger away at the same time.
"Alright. Ready, Nox?"
The black dragon lowered her head to nudge Aurelius. I'm sorry, love. I'll take better care of you this time. If I lost another rider, I'm sure I would die of a broken heart.
Aurelius felt his heart sink a little. "Nox… It's okay. Everything turned out alright. And you're doing amazing. Nothing is your fault."
Aurelius swung a leg over her back and rested on her, arms draped lazily over her neck. He then sat up again and gave a quick glance around to see if the others were prepared.
Quincy was atop of Jade. She was sitting up tall her sword in hand ready to fight anyone who tried to attack. That isn't necessary Quincy.
"Better safe than sorry Jade," was all the rider responded.
Lucky came and joined the others. “Frost isn’t back yet.” She said slightly worried “should we wait a few minutes or let her follow our scent?” She asked, hoping they would stay
"Do you think she'd be nearby? Can someone scout things out?" Aurelius suggested, suddenly taking on an air of worry.
Farron looked over at Lucky and nodded, “Thats probably a good idea. Let’s wait a few more minutes. If she isn’t back by then we need to go.”
“Is it possible for one of the other dragons to sense her?” She asked around the group
"Depends. No two dragons have the same exact sets of abilities. I'm sure there's someone here who can. If not, we can fly above and briefly check out the area. She's bound to turn up," Aurelius said.
“I guess we can take a look around.” Lucky said.
