"I kinda got that." he removed the tip of an arrow from his side. "thank you…"
"I kinda got that." he removed the tip of an arrow from his side. "thank you…"
Quincy looked for other arrows before applying the paste to his wounds, "Just doing my job. They're small enough not to need bandages."
"We have to move but…" he looked to Zuriel "I don't know where to go…"
We're going north, I believe, Nox replied, We may have to spend more time here than we'd like though. I'm not sure how quickly Aurelius will be able to recover.
Quincy looked up at Box, "And we shouldn't rush him. All done Arioch."
It's my fault he was hurt. I knew it was a bad idea, but I listened to his orders anyway. I should have flown away, Nox said, I couldn't bear to lose another friend so dear… I was told to always watch over him, yet sometimes I don't do what I need to do so.
"It was his choice to go for Valerie. You just decided to follow his lead. The follower isn't always as guilty as the leader," Quincy sat back with a sigh.
I have seen a lot, love, Nox grumbled, And I know for one thing, that if you see something is going to go wrong, and you have the power to change it, then you should. I am not his follower. I am his equal. He was raised as my brother, and not once has he ever regarded me or my wisdom as less than his.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I've lived in the village for a few years, but dragons are still a new thing."
It's fine. I'm just very worried. I'm glad you were able to tend to his wounds, Nox replied, I figure at this rate, I can at least haul him a good ways if we need to start traveling immediately.
Quincy grinned, "Your welcome. I'm happy to help wherever I can, but please don't 'haul' him anywhere."
After a while Mara fell asleep against a glowing Riven, she was exhausted from all the things that has happened. We should regroup, can every one move? Riven thought it would be a better idea to stay together. He woke Mara up and she climbed on his back sleepily. I'm heading back, so you might lose some light.
Nox went back to laying down, curled around Aurelius. He was in a dead sleep. She figured without the sleep meds, he would have been up all night, though. He had bled a lot; there was dried blood all down his sleeve and streaks of it down his hand, and she could tell there were several layers of bandages. It had taken a lot to make it all stop, and she thought had it gone on much longer, he could have been lost.
Should we wait until daylight to travel? Nox asked to anyone who was listening, Or is is wiser to move under the guise of night?
"Better to move once certain 'people' are healed?" Quincy said resting against Jade, "Otherwise night."
Of course we'll wait that long. I just fear dragons flying in broad daylight might draw a few eyes, Nox said, We don't need to be attacked any more.
"We really don't," Quincy's eyes started to close.
I think we should sleep all night, because that's when the body heals itself the best. Then maybe we could stay here tomorrow then move tomorrow night. Mara and I are uninjured, so we can keep watch. Riven laid down as Mara slept on top of him. You would think its uncomfortable, but she was fine with it.
Let's switch off, Nox replied, I'm unhurt, too. Wake me when you're ready.
And with that, Nox laid down her head, holding Aurelius even closer to her body.
Riven decided to let Mara sleep bit while he stays awake to keep watch. Nothing out of the ordinary, happened after a while. Just a few birds and deer, all the normal things.
Arioch had leaned up against Zuriel and both of them passed out almost instantly.
Farron couldn't sleep, he made it look like he was but in truth he wasn't. He sighed and turned over into a more comfortable position on Ysethen, who had fallen asleep.
(Time skip to morning?)
(Yeah.)
(Sure!)
Nox had taken last watch. She was up to see the sun rise.
At some point, Aurelius woke up, moaning in pain.
"Gods… I feel like I got run over by a stampede of dragons…" he muttered.
If that had happened, you'd be dead, Nox replied, shaking her head a little.
