No… I think the ballista shot hit something vital… her breathing got a little panicked have to… remain calm… a jump in heart rate can kill me. just keep pressure… she turned her head to Arioch and thought 'I have to stay alive… for you, brother.'
Quincy came back with her medical supplies. She landed next to them, "How bad is it?"
"Pretty bad, I'm glad you are here." Mara still didn't move and just waited for instructions from Quincy. "What should I do?" Riven was the light for them, but Mara felt a bit useless. Compared to everyone else, she was the least skilled.
"Continue to apply pressure. I need to assess the wound," Quincy moved closer, "I'm not as used to treating dragons than humans."
A ballista shot reopened my wound and it hit something else… a chill went down her spine and Arioch was still passed out trying to keep my heart rate down… I'm getting a little tired.
"Just stay with me Zuriel," Quincy said starting to apply the thick paste praying it would work.
I won't die this easily Arioch finally woke up but was shaky "Zuriel…" he sounded very scared "Zuriel…?" she turned to look at him and he hugged her as best he could "please… don't leave me…" (yay depression)
Quincy stuck her tongue out in concentration, "I won't let him."
Quincy reached for her bandages to help, would cauterizing work on a dragon?
Nox came up a little closer to Zuriel. She nudged her reassuringly, then turned her head to speak to Quincy.
Would it work to blow a little fire around the wound? It shouldn't burn the skin around it since our scales are fireproof. Just the flesh. It might help stop the bleeding. My last rider used this technique on dragons who were injured in battle many times, and she was often successful. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind it is, but if it has that history of working, it's worth a try. I'll be glad to provide the fire if you need.
Quincy looked relieved as she nodded backing away, “Yeah. Yeah do that! It burns the flesh causing the wound to scab over preventing further blood loss.”
Alright. I'll give it a go. It's been a while. I haven't done this since- Never mind…
Nox let forth a gentle stream of bright blue flames into the wound. Her tail flicked behind her; she was extremely nervous and fidgety.
Mara also backed away, she didn't want to get burned, especially by dragon fire. She walked over to the water and started to clean herself off. This water was now going to be gross but whatever, hopefully there was a different water source so they had clean water to drink.
Farron stayed with Ysethen and made no move to comment on what was going on currently. He climbed onto his dragon and lied down, sighing.
Quincy stood baxk and watched the jet of flames blow forth. It was working, the wound wasn’t bleeding as heavily as before.
Oooooooow…. thank you Nox Arioch didn't really move he just stayed there holding on to her
Quincy looked to Nox, "Your good. I need to apply the paste and bandage the injury."
Nox backed up a bit and stood by Arioch and Zuriel to comfort them. She let out an almost sad rumbling noise.
Quincy reapplied the thick paste wiping off the burnt mixture before winding the bandages tightly around the wound. She was focused.
Zuriel looked to her brother I'm not going anywhere. thoughts flooded Arioch's mind as tears streamed from his helmet "this is my fault…." he said quietly
Quincy stepped back with a slight sigh, she looked to Arioch, "Are you hurt at all?"
I smell human blood, Nox remarked, her tail still swaying. She craned her neck over to look at Arioch and examine him with a quick glance over.
Quincy moved closer to Arioch, “Thank you Nox. Though it could be the blood on my clothes.”
No. I caught it from before you came here. Either way, it’s probably best to check it out.
Nox was still very tense and was keeping a close eye on both Arioch and Zuriel.
Arioch removed his chest plate and the armor covering his arms, there were a few wounds from arrows and a small slash from a dagger. "they don't hurt…"
Quincy groaned as she grabbed the paste and looked at him, "If they get infected they'll hurt."
