"Yeah. I'd like to know why I had to scare some demon off," Kaz said, fiddling with his dog tags and fixing his eyes on the floor
"Yeah. I'd like to know why I had to scare some demon off," Kaz said, fiddling with his dog tags and fixing his eyes on the floor
Cyrus really had no interest in figuring out what the demon was there for. He would possibly ask Kaz about it at some point, but now he needed to shift. He stepping out of sight before breaking into a quick run, moving an inhuman like speed. He enjoyed the wind in his face as he darted into a patch of nearby woods. He wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone there, just animals.
"And I want to know because my stupid body decided to make me a demon," Deley lifted her arms in the air.
Kaz looked up, Cyrus' field only giving him a short warning before the wendigo was out the door. He started to jog after him. "Hey, wait! Where are you going?" he called as Cyrus disappeared from sight. He struggled for a moment, trying to decide whether or not to chase after him
Cyrus leaned his hand against a tree as his bones and tendons cracked and shifted. His skin seemed to change to more of a grey color, and his eyes to the sickly yellow. He seemed to almost grow to around 7’0, ad large fangs grew from his mouth. After shifting the rest of the way, he felt his subconscious fade away into black, leaving only the creature, who gave a noise between a hiss and a screech. ‘He’ ran deeper into the small wooded area, following the scent of an animal.
Kaz winced a little as a wave of barely-perceptible electricity hit him. Great. Cyrus had shifted. He struggled with himself for a moment. Would Cyrus be ok? He may have just met the guy, but he really didn't want him to accidentally hurt himself. But what if Cyrus turned on him? Making up his mind, he followed Cyrus into the forest. If he couldn't help him, he could at least make sure the other guy didn't hurt himself while he was hunting
Cyrus had tracked down the large buck, but he seemed to catch it easily. He had kept onto the animals back, yanking it to the ground and snapping its neck. The tore into it’s stomach, hungrily eating it’s flesh and muscle and drinking the metallic smelling blood.
Kaz, not trusting his human vision in a situation like this, let his eyes go black and white again. He could see the amounts of electricity every creature gave off this way, instead of just sensing it. He stopped dead in his tracks, seeing a strange, misshapen creature in the fuzzy field of his altered vision. It barely gave any electricity off, but the thing it had just killed still gave off a bit of a field. He edged behind a tree, hiding behind it and watching what he assumed was Cyrus through the trees
‘Cyrus’ tore into the animal, but he still didn’t feel satisfied. He sat up from his bent over position and took a long whiff of the air, searching for any scents. A strange one reached his nose, and his head snapped in the direction of where Kaz was. He made a screeching noise and stood to his full height, beginning to approach him in a hostile way.
Castor had followed the two, and is currently crouched in a tree. He calls to Kaz. "Don't. Move. A. F@*%ing. Muscle."
Kaz stiffened, holding his breath. Black shot up his neck all the way to the corner of one of his eyes, and he didn't dare move
Cyrus stopped in his tracks as the white form vanished from his vision. He sniffed the air around Kaz, making a noise between a click and a hiss before snarling and running back to the dead buck.
Kaz had to concentrate to keep his field low. The last thing he wanted was to go off like a broken generator and electrocute everything in a two mile radius
“…explain, please.”
“Um. It’s a long story, one that is slightly embarrassing, so if you’d like to hear it… I’ll talk to you later, I guess,” Chandra said.
"Well, I for one would like to hear it, if you would like to tell it," Isaac stretched his shoulders and clicked his neck.
"I also would like to hear it," Deley put one hand on her hip.
Eventually, Cyrus finished digging out and devouring the bucks insides and drinking a good amount of it’s blood. His sickly grey skin was covered in blood. He made a growl before walking over into a patch of shade, sniffing around for a moment before his body began to shift, the bones seeming to move and snap, and eventually, Cyrus was back to normal, laying on his stomach in the grass. He seemed to wake up a bit quicker than normal, and he groaned, head pounding. He felt sick to his stomach, and he glanced up a the dead deer before gagging.
“Ugh. Fine,” Chandra said, preparing herself for almost entire humiliation. “Just know that I regret it, okay?”
//i have to go rn ill add it in later
//kk
Kaz crept out from behind the tree, going to Cyrus. He stopped a few feet away from him. "Hey. You okay?"
Cyrus was still rested on his hands and knees as he tilted his head to look up at Kaz. His eyes were still adjusting, the yellow slowly going back to the red. He blinked a few times, he hadn’t known Kaz was there. He must have been very still. “How long were you watching?”
"Not very long," Kaz said quietly. He took a step closer, kneeling down next to him. "You alright? Can I help you with anything?"
//can I ship it
Castor dropped from his tree, landing easily. "I know my lore, told this dumba## to stay still. Name's Castor, don't think we've met."
