"All I do is control plants, I mean I could make a roof out of vines but that's more of a short term solution," Isaac shrugs.
“It’d be a cute addition to the cafe,” she shrugged. “If you could grow them from the ground. I’ll come by and water them.”
“I wouldn’t be able to help with any of this…” Cyrus said slowly, brow furrowed as the hunger continued to claw at his stomach.
Kaz frowned up at the roof. "Guess I'll have to find another cafe for a while. And I liked this place too," he mumbled
Cyrus gave a hum of agreement, looking up at the red sky. “Now that all of that is over, I should go find food before..” he trailed off slowly. Before the other side pushes itself forward in the middle of this cafe and tries to slaughter these people.
Kaz felt anxiety creep up through his stomach, and he started to tap his foot again. He glanced over at Cyrus, noticing that something seemed a little off in his static field. "You ok?"
“I need light,” Chandra muttered. “Flashlight. Anything. Is everyone alright? I really cannot take that insert swear word anymore.”
Castor has been sitting and quietly watching this whole ordeal. Standing, he stretches, showing off a surprising amount of flexibility. "So that happened." After remarking this he walks towards the group. "Name's Castor, you're my kind of people."
“And by that you mean…?” Chandra asked, having already transformed back into a human after grabbing a phone that someone had dropped and using its flashlight.
Deley whimpered as her body returned to its normal form. She slumped down to the ground and just wanted to curl up in a ball.
"We've all got powers apparently," Kaz piped up
"Mums trying to get me back again, insert name for she-dog. Like I would." He scoffs, waving a hand dismissively. "Nasty piece of work, Dad's not much better. Any o' you seen a kid bout my height? Named Pollux."
Cyrus has given Kaz a quick nod in response to his previous question, and almost flinched at the new voice. The man had been sitting still before, so Cyrus hadn’t been able to see him until now.
Castor snorts at the flinch. "You ain't given me a reason to hurt you, so I ain't gonna." Seeming not to notice his own hostility, he picks up a scone and starts eating like a man starved.
Deley got up and spoke to the others talking, "I'm Deley and I hate my life."
“I’m Chandra and that is the demon who, quote, ‘saved my life.’ Bull,” she said disdainfully.
Giving them a look, Castor shrugs. "Join the f@*&ing club."
“That’s not why I-“ Cyrus started with narrowed eyes, but he cut himself off, figuring that arguing wouldn’t help anything.
(I'm confused is the demon still around?? I feel like I keep missing stuff lol)
(No the demon left.)
(oh. so everyone's just hanging out outside the café?)
(Yep.)
Dara approached the group carefully, her eyes narrowed. "So. What was that?" she asked anyone.
