"Oh. Are you…People hungry?" Kaz asked, struggling for words. "Can you eat stuff that isn't people? Does that help at all?"

Cyrus felt a slight pang of offense in his chest, but he cleared his throat in an awkward manner, shifting his gaze elsewhere. “Meat satisfys it, but I’m a vegitarian.. I’ve eaten meat, but I just feel sick after,” he murmured, not wanting to talk about the ‘eating people’ aspect. As far as he knew, he’s only killed 4.
"Oh, um. Sorry. I've got a turkey sandwich in my bag, and it's got a lot of lettuce?" he offered
Cyrus shook his head slowly, giving a slightly forced smile. “No, I’ll be fine. I’ll get something later,” he said.
//okay u know what
LINDSAY IM MOVING ON PRETEND THE DEMON GUY GOT CALLED AWAY
The demon looked up and seemed to sniff the air, alert. "Is that another demon I smell? Weaker than I'd expect," he mused, turning away from Chandra.
Deley wondered if they were talking about her, but then remembered they already knew she was a shifter.
Chandra flicked the light out, feeling her body begin to contort. She held back noises of pain and transformed, mirroring a usual demon. She hissed “Shoot me or something,” to the nearest kid on her side, and then blended in with the demon’s ranks.
He turned to Kaz. "Well, well. A half-demon. Tell me, what's your father's name?"
//wait
wait what if this is kaz's dad :D
Kaz turned to him, eyes wide. "Unimportant. Who are you?" he bit out (his dad's name is Vos but he's dead)
//oh
cool
"Probably an acquaintance. Possibly a relative," he said, unblinking eyes watching him.
"Well it wouldn't matter, because I killed him," Kaz hissed. He could feel that odd anger creeping into him, and this was one of the few times he would let it do what he wanted
"You killed a full-demon?" He laughed. "Lovely, lovely. You're powerful. I like that. No, I respect that. You rarely see that kind of power."
(Kaz is talking to the demon that broke the roof right?) Kaz scowled, tiny arcs of blue-purple electricity sparking along his arms. "Why do you care?"
//yep
"I take interest in powerful individuals," he said, his own dark magic flaring behind him. "We seem to have gathered quite a group here." He gestured to Deley and Reign outside, Kaz and Cyrus, Chandra in the corner. (sorry if I missed anyone)
"Well take interest somewhere else," Kaz spat. His eyes started to gain color similar to the sparks of lightning, and black began to trace his veins again. I'm the back of his mind he knew reacting this way probably wasn't the best plan, but he wanted to scare the demon off more than anything
"Oh no," he laughed again. "I love New York. It's just such a hotspot for superhero activity. There's a reason behind that. Wouldn't you like to know? I could tell you many things, Kaz."
The corner of his lip turned up in a snarl before he could stop himself. He hated demons, hated them, and he felt himself get genuinely angry. "I. Don't. Care!" Lightning crackled to life around him, causing hair to stand on end. He rolled up his sleeves, revealing tattoos glowing with a faint purple. In a flash his eyes had gone pitch black save for the rings of his eyes, which had turned a bright whitish-purple. A single short black antler grew from the left side of his head. "Leave."
“Oooh, a feisty one,” the demon chuckled, but he wasn’t so calm anymore. Tendrils Of Black Magic snaked around his body. “Well, if you really want me gone so bad.” He dipped his head and waved at Chandra. “See you some other time, my sweet!” In a puff of smoke, like a magician, he was gone.
Kaz frowned at the spot where the demon once was. He hissed a little, a now forked black tongue running across his chapped lips. He felt something vaguely wet on his lip and reached up with a vaguely clawed hand to touch the spot. It came away with a small bit of black blood, and he scowled at it. "Shit."
Reign wandered back in, staring at the once-again sunny sky. “The roof…”
Kaz quickly wiped the blood on his pants, his horn dissolving into the air and the black in his skin receding. His eyes began to change back to normal, and the spot where he had bit his lip stung just a little
Isaac's vines die and fall to the floor around him in a shrivled up mess. He hears someone say something about the roof and nods, "yeah, I don't think insurance will cover that."
Kaz chuckled awkwardly, shaking a little from the strain of shifting. "Wouldn't happen to know some magic to fix that, would you?"
“Nope, I only destroy,” Reign chimed in, looking up.
(Reign da destroyer.)
