"I have no idea," Deley sighed.

She frowned. "I…I've never seen anything like that before. That's impossible."

Castor's gruff. "Was a demon, if you couldn't tell."

"Demons aren't real," Dara replied automatically, even though she was starting to doubt that.

"Yeah," Deley sighed she stretched her sore muscles, "So what abilities do you all have?"

"I, uh. I'm a half demon," Kaz said, raising a hand sheepishly

“Apparently they are,” Reign muttered. “I’m pyrokinetic.”

"I can shapeshift," Deley sighed, "Though it hurts a ton."

Dara groaned. "God, you're such freaks. I thought I was the only one." She sighed, "I'm an empath."

“Wendigo,” Cyrus muttered, wanting the conversation to hurry up a tad.

“Hey, I get called freak plenty, by people I know,” she glared. “I don’t even know your name.”

"No idea. Dads an archangel though. Mums a demon queen. So I probably got somethin." Castor says this without batting an eye.

Dara groaned. "God, you're such freaks. I thought I was the only one." She sighed, "I'm an empath."

“Hey, I get called freak plenty, by people I know,” she glared. “I don’t even know your name.”

"It's Dara," she replied in a flat tone, "and we are freaks. No need to feel so mad."

“I’m not exactly fond of the word, realize?”

"I can tell." Dara shrugged uncaringly. "I just don't care."

She didn’t s at anything and except crossed her arms, heat radiating off of her.

“I’m supposed to be human,” Chandra said quietly.

“That means?” She asked, turning to Chandra.

"I wish I was just human," Deley sighed.

“Well,” Chandra said slowly. “It’s a bit of a long story. And I’m not just human anymore. I don’t know what I am.”

“Explain,” she said. “That guy knew you.”

“Sort of. Not really. Yes.”

“…explain, please.”

Kaz stood awkwardly in the corner. He felt a little hurt when the word 'freak' started getting passed around, but he told himself he was used to it. If he still lived in Germany they probably would have killed him as soon as he accidentally grew a horn
