"Tell him ri hurry his tail so we can meet up!" Willow shouted, loud enough that Hunter would be able to hear.
"Hush!" Kenzie hissed at her friend, moving the phone away from her mouth. When she'd finished, she asked Hunter, "So, when and where?"
“That place you mentioned— the new one,” Hunter replied, shooting a death glare at Leo. “I can’t recall the name, it was weird. Anyway, is it okay if this idiot and I pick you guys up in fifteen? Ten if you both are ready?”
"Matteo's, right. I can't believe I forgot. Yeah, Willow and I are ready when you are," Kenzie said. She pushed Willow away, who had been leaning ever closer so as to hear what Hunter was saying.
“You guys are ready? Well, then I suppose Leo and I should leave like, right now,” he sent a glance towards Leo. “You hear that? We’re leaving. Stop moping.”
"Yes, please, come save me!" Kenzie pleaded dramatically. "There's a crazy woman over here, and she's currently trying to steal my phone from my hand!"
Hunter gasped.
“I’ll come quickly to save my Queen, then!” He exclaimed. “Wait for me, Kenz! Don’t die!”
"I'm not crazy!" Willow protested, having successfully grabbed the phone from Kenzie's hand. "But you and Leo'd better get over here soon."
"Give me my phone!" Kenzie demanded, laughing as she tried to pry it from her friend's hands.
Hunter deadpanned.
“Dear future sister-in-law,” he said calmly. “Please say that to your moping boyfriend and let me talk to my fiancée. Thank you.”
"Just get your tails over here," Willow said before handing Kenzie her phone back.
Kenzie stuck her tongue out at her friend before speaking into the phone. "Sorry. She just yanked it out of my hand. Anyway, are you guys on your way?"
"Yeah, we're on our way," Hunter said as Leo tossed him his cap. Hunter adjusted it on his head before nodding at Leo. "Anyway, we'll see you in five."
"Great, thanks," Kenzie sighed. "We'll see you both soon."
"Go and knock on the door," Hunter told Leo as he parked his car in front of the apartment. "I'll be right there. The car's not parked properly."
Leo nodded.
"Sure," he got out and shut the door before making his way to the apartment, knocking once, twice, before stepping away. A few seconds later, Hunter joined him.
Willow opened the door and pulled Leo inside by the arm.
"Finally! I was so bored. Let's go," she rambled.
Kenzie sighed and shook her head. "Sorry, Leo. I don't know what's gotten into her today. Hey, Hunter," she greeted her fiancé with a smile.
Leo shrugged as he hugged his girlfriend back, kissing the top of her head lightly.
"It's okay, Kenzie," he grinned. "Seeing my girlfriend lightened my day, too."
Hunter rolled his eyes before smiling back at Kenzie.
"Hey, Kenzie," he greeted her back. "Let's go?"
"Please. I'm starving already," Kenzie declared, giving Hunter a quick hug.
"Yeah, let's go," Willow agreed after placing a soft kiss to Leo's cheek.
(How should we continue this?)
(They could just go on the date. We could skip until they arrive and have them talk about wedding stuff.
Also, I have an idea I'll tell you in the PM.)
(Let's do that.
And all right!)
"Okay, that was good food," Hunter commented, running a hand through his fingers. "I did not want to stop eating."
"Good thing you did," Leo spoke up. "Otherwise you would've gotten fatter."
Hunter glared at him.
Kenzie laughed a little, peeking at Hunter out of the corner of her eye.
"It was good, huh? I'm glad I suggested it," she joked. "So… Dessert?"
"Yes, please!" Willow exclaimed.
"I'm so glad you asked," Leo said excitedly. "Food without dessert is never complete."
"Make sure to eat less, Leo," Hunter piped up. "We don't want you getting fat, now do we?"
Kenzie laughed louder at that, though she nudged Hunter. "C'mon, babe. Be nice to your best friend," she teased.
"Yeah, be nice to my boyfriend," Willow defended him, leaning into his side.
Hunter glared at Kenzie.
"How dare you," he exclaimed in betrayal. "When he called me fat, you didn't even defend me! Now I know where your loyalties lie."
"That's only because I know you couldn't get fat if you tried," Kenzie explained with a smile as she looked up at him. "You're too handsome."
Before Hunter could reply, Leo piped up.
"So what you're saying is that I'm not handsome," he said dejectedly. "Will, your best friend's so mean."
"Oh, so now you guys are ganging up on me? I see how it is…" Kenzie leaned back in her seat.
"Hey, you're handsome to me!" Willow exclaimed. "Doesn't matter what she thinks."
