"All right. C'mon, then," Kenzie said, tugging on Hunter's arm as she walked out of her bedroom. She

"All right. C'mon, then," Kenzie said, tugging on Hunter's arm as she walked out of her bedroom. She
made her way over to the front door, pulled on a pair of shoes, and grabbed her purse.
Hunter ruffled his hair, glancing into a mirror before nodding at his appearance. He stuffed his feet in his shoes before following Kenzie outside.
Kenzie unlocked the car and sat inside, waiting for Hunter to get in before starting it.
"To the post office we go!" she exclaimed with a slight giggle.
Hunter shook his head with a slight smile on his face.
“McKenzie McArthur,” he mused, running his fingers through his hair. “You know, that sounds funny.”
A blush made its way to Kenzie's cheeks, and she bit her lip.
"Shut up…" she mumbled, though she was hiding a smile. "It's not my fault my fiancé's last name starts with the same first two letters as my first name."
Hunter grinned.
"It's cute, too," he said before clearing his throat. "It wouldn't matter anyway since you'll be having my last name."
"Of course I'll be having your last name. I wouldn't want it any other way," Kenzie said softly, a small smile making its way onto her lips. "Oh, look. We're here."
Hunter smiled back before turning to face the front.
"That was fast," he commented. "No traffic, either."
Kenzie hummed in agreement. "It helps that it's only a couple blocks away," she said, parking her car as close to the building as possible. "Do you want to go in by yourself, or should we both go in?"
Hunter shrugged.
“If you wanna come, you can come with me,” he replied, taking off his seatbelt. “Otherwise, I won’t be long so you can stay here.”
"I'll come," Kenzie said with a smile. "That way I get to spend more time with you."
Hunter grinned.
“Well, we’re going to get married so you’ll get more of me every day,” Hunter said, reaching out to pinch Kenzie’s cheek softly. “But come on. Let’s go, then.”
Kenzie's nose crinkled as she made a face at Hunter pinching her cheek. She followed him inside, taking his hand as they walked.
"I know, but that doesn't mean I don't want to spend as much time with you as possible," she declared.
(I THOUGHT I REPLIED.)
Hunter pulled Kenzie close, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
“That’s good, because after we’re married I’m going to hog you every second. Willow will miss you,” he declared.
(Lol. I hate when that happens.)
She already does… Gosh, I'm a terrible best friend.
Kenzie forced a smile as she looked up at Hunter. "Our poor friends. We've totally been neglecting them," she laughed.
Hunter shrugged as they walked inside the office.
“Leo called me yesterday,” he said. “I think he was sleep deprived or something, and he was yelling at me for forgetting about him and moving on with my life. I had just gotten home from his house.”
"Really? That doesn't sound like him from what I've noticed," Kenzie said, frowning. "I wonder if everything's going okay…"
Hunter rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
“I think it’s because I told him about Keira the night before that,” he said quietly. “He never asked what happened between us, but he always supported me and helped me get through her passing. But I had been thinking a few days ago that Leo deserves to know even if it’s too late.”
That still doesn't make much sense to me…
"Oh. But… Why would he be upset about that?" Kenzie asked, Turing to she could see him better.
Hunter sighed.
"Kenzie, how would you feel if one day you wake up and find out that your best friend's girlfriend is dead and he's constantly blaming himself for it without telling you why?" he asked quietly. "Leo probably blames himself for not realizing it sooner. He said he knew something was up but I never told him until today, almost five years later."
"Oh. Right. Of course… I'm sorry," Kenzie said, biting her lip. "I– Sorry."
(Bumping.)
(bumping)
Hunter ran his fingers through his hair.
"Well, he could also be stressed," he added. "He's kind of behind in assignments, and he's really lazy so he likes to pile it up until he becomes an emotional mess."
Kenzie laughed a little. "I'm sure Willow would help him get on track if he asked. She's really good at that sort of thing."
They stepped inside the post office, and Kenzie looked around. "Should we get stamps while we're here? Or, like, labels? You know, so we don't have to write a return address each time we send a letter." She gasped a little and turned to face Hunter, her eyes lit up. "Speaking of addresses, who's moving in with who? Am I going to live with you in your apartment? Or my apartment? Or will we find a house?"
