“I know,” he said, his eyes twinkling. “I’m the luckiest man alive.”
“I know,” he said, his eyes twinkling. “I’m the luckiest man alive.”
Kenzie grinned at Hunter a moment more before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
"And I'm the luckiest girl. I couldn't have found a man so amazing if I had tried," she murmured.
Hunter kissed her on the cheek.
“You don’t even have to try,” he murmured. “You’d have men fall at your feet without even trying. Kenzie, you’re amazing and you’re you’re. Far more than what you believe.”
Kenzie's cheeks reddened and she crinkled her nose.
"Stop it… I'm not that amazing."
Hunter shook his head.
“No,” he agreed quietly. “You’re more than that.”
"You're not going to give up, are you?" Kenzie asked, her blush deepening as she looked Hunter in the eyes. She started to stand, albeit reluctantly. "We really should go. I'd like to get the planning done for this party before dinner so I can call my cousin."
Hunter groaned, saddened by the thought of not seeing Kenzie the rest of the day. Then he thought of waking up next to her every day and he brightened up.
“All right,” he said, standing up. “I’ll drop you off.”
Kenzie smiled and walked over to the door to get her things. Once she was ready to leave, she waited for Hunter by the door, smiling at him.
Hunter followed after Kenzie, smiling back at her before walking towards his car. He unlocked his car and waited until Kenzie sat inside before sitting and starting the engine.
"We have to wait almost an entire year," Kenzie suddenly groaned, putting her head down on the dashboard.
Hunter patted her on the back.
“There, there,” he said, sympathy lacing his voice. “It’s okay. Time will go by quickly.”
"It better," Kenzie grumbled without moving from her spot.
Hunter grinned before driving off towards Kenzie’s place.
“Time flies by before you know it,” he said to her.
Kenzie sat back in her seat and leaned against the door to watch Hunter drive.
"Yeah, I know," she sighed. "I mean, these past couple of months have gone by so quickly. We've already been engaged for almost a month…"
Hunter grinned.
“Exactly,” he grinned before frowning. “Hold up. Shoot. I don’t think I ever asked you this. When is your birthday, Kenz?”
McKenzie laughed. "It's February 1st, babe. Not long after yours."
(Hai)
(Hey.)
“Oh, well there’s still time,” Hunter murmured as he took a turn and got onto the road that led to Kenzie’s apartment. “Damn, I should’ve driven slower.”
Kenzie laughed a little. "Yeah, you should have. How're we ever going to spend anyquality time together if you drive so fast?" she teased.
Hunter heaved a sigh as the car stopped in front of Kenzie’s apartment.
“Well, I could keep driving forward and miss your place,” he offered. “That way, we could spend some quality time together.”
"We've got things to do, Hunter. As much as I would love to stay with you for the rest of the day, I really need to get to work on the plans for both the party and our wedding," Kenzie said, giving him a small smile. Her eyes opened wide as she suddenly remembered something, and she exclaimed, "I need to find a maid of honor! Oh. Willow would probably love that, actually…"
Hunter laughed and shook his head.
“Jesus, you looked like you almost had a heart attack,” he chuckled. “I already know Leo’s going to be my best man. He’ll kill me if he isn’t. Anyway, you should probably head out before I drive off with you still in the car.”
Kenzie looked over at Hunter sheepishly, then sighed.
"I guess I should…" She bit her lip for a moment before leaning slightly closer to him. "Later, then."
(Sooo……could Natalia actually do something here now that I'm here…? I don't want to be pushy or rude or anything tho….)
