Kenzie laughed. "Sure, babe. If you want me to have meant that, then sure."
Hunter grinned.
“Well, let’s go then,” he said.
Kenzie took Hunter's hand as they walked back out to her car. She drove back to her apartment and parked near his car.
"Are you sure I can't steal you for a bit longer?" she asked, playfully giving him puppy dog eyes.

"Are you sure I can't steal you for a bit longer?" she asked, playfully giving him puppy dog eyes.
Hunter rolled his eyes.
"Kenzie, we'll be meeting for a date not long after," he pinched her nose. "Besides, don't you need to see Willow, too?"
Kenzie scrunched her nose up when Hunter pinched it. "Fine. I guess I can live without you for a while. And I suppose I should get Willow, too," she acquiesced.
Hunter ruffled her hair.
"Good girl," he teased.
Kenzie stuck her tongue out at her fiancé.
"I'm not a dog, Hunter," she said, rolling her eyes. She opened her door to get out of her car. "C'mon, the sooner you leave, the sooner I can see you again."
Hunter grinned, getting out of Kenzie's car and making his way towards her, pulling her into a kiss the second he got close.
"I can't wait for our marriage," he murmured against her lips.
Kenzie smiled a bit as she kissed him back. "Me neither," she whispered.

Hunter plunged the key into the key hole, turning it around and stepping into the small apartment, scrunching his nose when he saw the mess and a human half on the couch and half on the floor.
“Really, Leo? Does it take that much energy for you to clean your house?” Hunter rolled his eyes as he closed the door, walking over to his best friend and slapping him on the back. Leo groaned. He mumbled incoherently, turning over on his back, upside down.
“My life is over,” he groaned, throwing an arm over his face. Hunter raised an eyebrow. “Fate hates me.” Hunter pulled an amused face. “I’m a failure.” Hunter puckered his lips, nodding sympathetically. “I’m ruined.”
“You’re hogging the entire couch, sheep,” Hunter said, nudging Leo. “Move over.”
Leo glared at his best friend.
“You’re so cruel,” Leo sobbed. “I just told you my life is over and you’re being like this!”
Hunter rolled his eyes.
“How many assignments do you need to finish?” The younger friend questioned without hesitation. Leo groaned, turning over again, finally slipping off of the couch with a flop.
“Three,” the senior in college groaned. “One for Environmental Science, one for Psychology, and the other for Biology. Hunter, I’m ruined.”
“Kenzie and I thought of going to a double date today,” Hunter said with an amused smile. “You, me, Willow and Kenzie.”
The student on the floor immediately shot up, excited.
“Who said anything about being ruined? Wooo, a date! When are we going?”
Hunter laughed.
(Leo… Lol.)
Kenzie plopped down onto her bed and pulled her phone out of her pocket. She quickly called Willow and waited for her to pick up.
"What now?" the voice on the other line sighed. "I'm in the middle of binging Gilmore Girls."
"Willow, did t you finish that show, like, last month?" Kenzie asked.
"Yeah, and now I'm watching it again."
"Hm. Okay… Well, anyway, I've got two things to ask you. Do you want the one I need an immediate answer for first or the one that can wait?"
"Give me the first one," Willow answered.
"Okay, so Hunter thought it would be a good idea to go on another double date," Kenzie explained as she stared at her ceiling. "You in?"
Willow laugh. "Of course I'm in. Hanging out with my boyfriend and my best friend and her boyfr–fiancé? Yeah, come pick me up whenever. Now, what was your second question?"
"Well…" Kenzie trailed off, chewing on her lip for a moment. "I realized that I kind of need a maid of honor, and I was wondering if you wanted to be her?"
"Of course I do!!!" Willow shouted. A slight squeal was heard on the other end of the line, and Kenzie smiled. "Gosh, I still can't believe you're getting married!"
"Yeah, me neither. It's so surreal," Kenzie laughed a bit.
Leo was squatted on the floor, face in his hands, trembling. Hunter sat on the other side of the table, a solemn look on his face, sympathetic.
"How could you do this to me, Hunter?" the young adult cried. "I thought I was your best friend. How could you do this to me?"
Hunter clicked his tongue, running his fingers through his hair.
"I'm sorry, Leo," he apologized, although he knew that an apology wouldn't do him any good. "Aren't you making too big of a deal out of this?"
Leo whipped his head up, face red.
"Making too big of a deal?! Hunter, do you even know what you're talking about?" Leo exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air. "I trusted you! I thought we were best friends, and then you… you… you went ahead and did this!"
"Why are you being so dramatic?" Hunter sighed heavily. Leo looked away.
"I can't believe you," he shook his head in disappointment. "Hunter, you've officially disappointed me."
Hunter sighed loudly.
"Leo, for God's sake, it's just Ludo," the artist heaved a sigh. "All I did was kill a minion!"
Leo glared at him.
"A minion? Hunter, you killed the minion! I was only eight steps away from being in the safety zone, and you killed me!"
"Well, it's not like you let the game be finished," Hunter replied, pointing to the Ludo board flipped over the table, the 'minions' joining other trash on the ground.
"You're a jerk," Leo grumbled. "Don't talk to me. Will's kinder to me than you are."
Hunter passed a smirk.
(Oh my goodness gracious, I'm dying over here. I was wondering what has gotten Leo so worked up, and it just a game! XD)
Willow let Kenzie in about fifteen minutes after they'd finished talking, and they were sprawled across the blonde's bed. Every so often, one of them would giggle at something on the TV. They'd gone from watching Black Panther, to Thor: Ragnarok, to Agents of Shield. Marvel marathon, anyone?
"Brett Dalton is so hot," Willow declared, rolling so her head was hanging off the foot of her bed.
Kenzie made a face. "Ugh, no. How can you like that traitor?"
"Because, like I just said, he's hot."
"Staaaaaaaahp," Kenzie groaned, burying her face in a pillow. "You have a boyfriend, Will!"
The blonde shot up and glared at her. She jabbed her friend in the side. "Only Leo's allowed to call me that."
"Fine, fine," Kenzie waved her off. "Stop poking me."
"And Leo's hotter, by the way. I just think Brett's good looking, too," Williw defended herself.
"Ugh, stop. Just stop. Let's move on, shall we? What about Fitzsimmons?"
Willow's eyes got a dreamy look in them as she thought about her fictional OTP. "Yeah, they're great," she sighed, smiling. "Man, I hope my relationship with Leo is that… understanding, I guess. That unwavering. Unrelenting."
(Oh my goodness gracious, I'm dying over here. I was wondering what has gotten Leo so worked up, and it just a game! XD)
(I love writing Leo for this very reason. XD)
(I just noticed my poor grammar there… I blame autocorrect.)
(Aw, Willow. You're so cute >-<)
(Isn't she? She's sassy and flirty and stuff, but she can be really sweet.
Willow: I'm not sweet… I'm fierce.
Me: Uh huh. Sure, honey.)
"Hunter? Do I look good?" Hunter heaved a tired sigh.
"For the last time, Leo, no, you do not look good,"
Leo pouted, adjusting the hat on his head.
"But I think I do," he said, ignoring Hunter. "I think Will will like this hat."
"She will," Hunter nodded. "Find it very stupid."
Leo shot Hunter an evil eye.
"You've been so mean to me lately," the boy whined. "I hate you."
Hunter grinned.
"Love you, too, buddy," Leo turned away, frowning. His eyes caught a bandana and he grinned, tossing the hat away. Hunter groaned.
"Okay, so how does this look?" Leo turned towards Hunter with hope in his eyes. Hunter sighed heavily, looking up to tell him that it looked very terrible when he stopped.
"It actually looks good," he said, amazed. "Darn, it, Leo, where'd you get that thing?"
Leo grinned proudly.
"Secret~" he sang. "Anyway, where are we meeting the girls? When are we going?"
"Willow, for the last time, you look great. Calm down. It's just Leo. You've been dating for, like, two months, now, he shouldn't care that much about what you wear," Kenzie sighed. She'd gotten dressed before she came, but Willow was on her third outfit. Currently, she was wearing a fitted, dark red sweater dress with black tights and black, knee-length boots.
"Yeah, but what should I do with my hair?" the blonde asked, looking at herself in her full-length mirror.
"Just put it in a messy bun. You look cute that way," Kenzie said.
Willow but her lip. "Hm… I suppose that'll do. What time are we supposed to meet the boys? We shouldn't be late."
"I don't know, Hunter should be texting me soon," Kenzie answered with a shrug.
Hunter ignored Leo as he fished out his phone from his pocket, dialing Kenzie's number. A smile graced his lips.
"Leo, shut up," he said distractedly while waiting for Kenzie to pick up. Leo threw a sock at Hunter.
"When is he going to let you know?" Willow whined for the umpteenth time in the past five minutes.
Kenzie was just about to respond when her phone rang. She pulled it out and looked at the caller ID, giving Willow a look as she held it up to reveal Hunter's name on the screen.
"Right now, apparently," she said before answering the phone. "Hi. Please tell me I'm not the only one being bothered by my best friend wondering when we're going to meet up?"
Hunter sighed loudly so that Leo could hear him.
“No, honey, you’re not the only one,” he said in a tired voice. “Leo just threw a sock at me. If I hadn’t been calling you, I would have stuffed it in his mouth.”
