Amelia moved to sit with some of the girls from cabin quickly. They already tried to poke fun at her for hanging with Wynn. If they really knew what was going on or how she felt, she didn't know what they would do. She glanced at Wynn almost with longing and regret, but quickly turned away. Life sucked sometimes.
He had sighed when she left to go sit with people from her cabin but honestly he was already pretty lucky she even tolerated him.. He stared at her with longing and everytime he was looking at her and she looked back at him, he had waved a bit flusteredly at her. He tried to focus on the show but keep looking back at her. He figured she had a reputation to uphold and she wouldn't ever feel the same way so he needed to get a grip on himself.
Adin just sat a l ittle place off to himself, hardly paying attention to the apollo kids performance, or whatever big surprise they had in store for the campers, he wasn't big on this stuff anyway. he scanned the crowd for any glazed eyes or distracted faces and so far besides Wynn looking sad and longing for his little un official girlfriend there was no one to steal from.
(Lol I noticed that too but didn't say anything bc I thought she might have changed the name.)
(Oops wrong person lol. I was tired)
Amelia straightened her back and forced her gaze to the stage. She wouldn't look at anything else. She wouldn't. She fiddled with her fingers, picking at her nails.
Wynn hoped she couldnt tell how much he was staring at her, some of aphrodites probably saw him looking..he didnt want to get between her and her cabin but he couldn't tear his eyes from her long enough…he would always look back at her. He saw her focusing on the stage and tied to focus on the stage as well.
One of her sister, lacey, nudged her. "You know that Hephaetus kid keeps looking at you. What'd you do to string him along like that?" She smirked.
Amelia rolled her eyes. "I look fabulous and im amazing. What else is there to do?" She played it off smoothly.
He tried to relax and lean back in his chair and stop stating at her. it wasn't helping so he just tried to close his eyes and relax, but then his thoughts drifted off to the time hey spent at the beach earlier which wasn't any better. "dude wha-" He punched adin in the face. "Alright I'm leaving." Adin huffed holding his face but Wynn whisper begged. "No wait adddinnn pleaaase."
Adin sighed, seeing wynn so caught up in staring at this aphrodite girl, he noticed them talking about it and she brushed it off he got up and went to talk him and was punched in the face. "Alright I'm leaving." but he stayed even before he heard wynn Whisper begging. "Stop already, you wanna look bad in front of your lady?"
"Mhm, and yet you seem to always be hanging out with him. You're ignoring us, your brothers and sisters. Are you forgetting who we are?" Lacey raised an eyebrow.
Amelia sighed. "I know who we are. Amd its none of your business what i do."
"Its our business of you're making us look bad." Lacey had a firm face.
"Please Lacey, leave it be."
Wynn flushed a little bit looking at the stage. "She isn't my lady..were just friends, besides you know how aphrodites are..usuallly the really pretty popular aphrodite dosentgo for he hepheateus kid." he sighed, sparing a glance and then seeing her getting questioned and talking o her brothers and sisters she immediately turned away. he was probably causing trouble so he wouldn't look at her anymore.
He flicked Wynn, "Your so stupid." he huffed sitting criss cross In his chair. "Stop putting yourself down so much. You have tons to show for yourself." he took a staaaaare at the girl wynn was staring at. "Suuure. just friends."
"Adin!" he whispered yelled.
Meanwhile, Avery continued onstage. “If you don’t know me, or you’re new, I’m Avery Sherwood, head of the Apollo cabin. And here I’ve got my good friend-“ she handed the megaphone to Henri.
“Henri Way, head of the Athena cabin!” He handed it back to her. Cheers from the Athena kids could be heard in the crowd.
“And we’ve got a special night planned for you! But let me just say that it wasn’t just the Apollo cabin who worked on this show, we had help from the Hephaestus kids, the Aphrodite kids, the Hecate kids, the Iris kids-“ Henri took the megaphone from her.
“And of course, the Athena kids were the brains of the operation.” He grinned. “Now, bear with me as I go through some rules. Please, keep the noise to a minimum, no running, don’t throw things, no weapons, no fighting or booing, and if you have any questions, we have our very own Chiron to answer them.” He gestured to the centaur, who had his horse body hidden in his wheelchair, sitting off to the side. There was some applause for him.
Henri handed the megaphone to Avery, who raised her arm as she said, “Now, are you ready for an amazing night?”
Lacey quieted as the campers appeared on the stage. Amelia sighed in releif amd relaxed. She was tired of being grilled by her cabin mates. She wantes to be left alone by them.
Adin and Wynn quieted down, they watched the show. he was thankful for Adin being silence he didn't know much more he could take.
(Sorry, I got a lot of other rps on my plate haha)
As the applause died down, Avery called out, “Alright, alright! Now get your hands up and prepare your vocal cords for the Apollo Cabin Choir!”
The curtains parted, and Dove had to lower her eyes so she wouldn’t be blinded by the stage lights. She hoped her photophobia wouldn’t be too much of a problem, but she suspected she’d have to forfeit looking professional. In any case, she still had to keep her focus on Jonah in front, who was already motioning his hands in preparation for the first song. One, two, three…
They began singing one of the more popular campfire songs that was usually sung around the campfire.
(Heads up, starting school tomorrow)
Wynn was mainly focused on the singers bit he still couldn't help himself to spare a sideways glance at Amelia and smile slightly, then immediately looking away before anyone saw him do so.
Wendi was preparing her mist as she waited for her own cue. She knew it would be a long time before she's needed, but at least she would be ready to set the mood.
(Okay, I feel like I'm super late to this, but if it's still open I'd love to join. Percy Jackson is my everything)
