Winn shoved his hands in his pockets as he searched around the camp for her, getting tips from other campers but also getting the smirk or the eyes or some weird sign and he honestly hated it. I mean sure he liked her but didn't they know that teasing someone that will never get with someone like her was just sad and rude and mean?
He sighed, trying to not go into the deep end. He looked up and saw amelia immediately smiling and exhaling at her being safe. And although he always thought she would be good with kids she never seemed like she liked them much, it was nice to see her like that though.
He waved at her to try ans catch her attention, before just smiling at her and once closer saying a quick hey.

(Yes! Sorry- I'm in Colorado and there's barely internet :/)

(ooo Colorado sounds nice)

(It has been :))

(I was gonna go over the summer but then covid hit so it got cancelled)

(Ouch)

(Was very sad)

(I can imagine, both of my church camps were cancelled)

Amelia was finishing tying off her bracelet when she noticed Winn. She smiled softly at him. "Hey. I thought you were at forge. What brings you all the way to arts and crafts?" She made room for him on the bench to join her.

He smiled at her, a hand on his neck having moved from his pocket on the way over though he both knew and didn't know why he was so nervous to talk to her all of a sudden, maybe it was all the comments earlier. He just hoped amelia wouldn't notice.
He sat on the bench next to her smiling at the kids sitting at the table as well.
"well what if I said I was worried about you? Not exactly worried worried, i know you can fight, just worried in general something might happen. Hypothetically of course."

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Amelia shook her head at him. "I'm fine. There's no need to worry about me. Just making a bracelet. Though you're welcome to help me clean up this horrendous mess. It might give me a pimple and that is something to worry about."

Dove wasn’t sure how to feel about the darkened sky and the sound of light rain on the windows of the infirmary she now found herself in. On one hand, the seemingly constant brightness of the camp was getting on her nerves, and on the other, the dread that replaced it was so jarring, it almost made her feel worse.
It had been a few days since Ash had left, and the hollowness that his absence created was still raw in her chest. She decided to keep more to herself, in case her low mood made anyone… not feel well.
It was almost scary; in the times she’d gone to the forest or near the Demeter cabin, she never left them without even a few of the vegetation withering away. She had a nagging feeling in her stomach that she made one of the Pegasi catch a cold.
She tried writing in her journal and singing a few comforting songs she knew to help however, and Wendi had been a source of distraction. Dove decided to give herself a few more days to get used to it. Though, she worried that she was making Wendi nauseous by spending time with her.
It’s fine, she’s a Hecate kid. She’ll be fine. It’s like she said, I should focus on myself for once.
She took a deep breath as she wetted a rag in the sink, trying to focus on the task she was given. She squeezed out the access water, then began gliding it across the counter. She hummed a song that her grandma liked to play in the car sometimes. It managed to stick in Dove’s brain after all these years.
”I had all and then most of you,”
“Some and now none of you.”
“Take me back to the night we met…”
“I don’t know what I’m supposed to do,”
“Haunted by the ghost of you.”
“Take me back to the night we met…”

Wendi had no problem sticking with Dove over these past few days. She could bat off any slight sickness that began to take her and if she was being honest none had yet to stick. She was with her cabin at the moment in the archery range. At the moment she honestly wished that Dove was with her, maybe she could help with Wendi's gods awful aim.

Amelia shook her head at him. "I'm fine. There's no need to worry about me. Just making a bracelet. Though you're welcome to help me clean up this horrendous mess. It might give me a pimple and that is something to worry about."

He smiled at her, listening to her talk. "oh and that would just be so horrible if the great amelia got a pimple. Of course I will help clean up the mess ames." He smirked slightly, going to pick up theess of beads.

He smiled at her sweeping, well not her sweeping, just her in general. how she looked beautiful no matter what she did and that he wouldn't like her any less with a pimple. he didn't say any of that though, he just hummed softly as he picked up the beads sometimes fidgeting with the hair near his scar.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

(such a simp)

Amelia swept it all into the dustpan. "You know you don't have to stay here and clean. I'm okay here by myself. I don't wanna keep you away from the forge."

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"I think i'll stay and help, besides i have someone covering for me at the forge. not that i asked them too." he chuckled softly. "so I'm free to help if i want to, and i want to." he looked up at her and smiled at her.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"I don't think I've ever met someone who wants to clean. But by all means, I'll never turn down help." Amelia was glad the children were gone. Gods knew what they would be doing. Likely teasing or singing some silly children's rhyme. But it wasn't like that, at least she didn't think it was.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"Well cleaning is always, well, funner i guess, if you have the right company." he hummed, turning back to his work and finishing up with collecting the beads and putting them away correctly. "its also nice to be outside of the forge, in the breeze, i guess you could say." more fidgeting with his strand of hair.

”Take me back to the night we met…”
After she cleaned the last two rooms, Dove excused herself from the infirmary. She halfway towards the doors when Madison came up to her. Concern had etched itself into her features.
“Hey, just be careful, alright? I don’t like the look of those clouds,” she said, her fingers digging into the rag in her hand.
Dove nodded. Madison had been kind to her, though their interactions were still a bit awkward. “Have you finished?” She inquired.
“Oh, I just need to finish up a few things, ya know. You wanna do something later?”
Dove blinked, an internal debate forming in her mind. “Um, I don’t know…”
Madison’s concern was still there, but her expression took on its usual brightness. “Well, we can discuss it later. I’m getting a weird feeling with those clouds, like… something’s going to happen. I know that sounds cliche, haha.”
Dove chuckled. “It’s alright, I get what you mean. But I want to have some space for now.”
Madison chuckled too, a little nervously. “Of course, of course. See you at dinner?”
She nodded, her thick white locks bouncing slightly around her head. She turned, opened the doors, and left. Droplets of rain greeted her cheeks as she stepped outside, and the dark clouds rumbled. Were the gods sad or angry? It was hard to tell.

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

Amelia put up the dustpan and broom. She started organizing all the papers by their color and putting up all the crayons, markers, and pencils. "I suppose you're right. I still hate cleaning though. I like to sit back and watch." She looked over at him.

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"Yeah i figured as much, kinda surprised you were cleaning." he chuckled a little bit looking up and grinning at her a little bit. "also a bit surprised you were helping with the kids, i didn't think you would like hanging out with kids."

@ElderGod-yellowqueen

"I don't. Children annoy me. But it was this or listening to them complain about not being able to swim or play volleyball or go on the obstacle course and just about everything else. So I shut them up with arts and crafts. It worked well enough." Amelia sat back down on the bench, shoulders slumped. "I don't think today is going to be a good day."

@imJUSTasillylittleguy group

"Ah i see." he smiled at her just simping like he always does. he set the container of beads down and sat on the bench next to her. "Yeah i don't either, there's an offness in the air today."
