Amelia finished dinner and head down to the amphitheater. They were having a big bonfire tonight and the apolo kids were supposed to be putting on some kind of a show.
(Oh gosh really? Welp should I be an ambassador for the Apollo cabin?)
(Btw I’m going to bed)
Wynn got up from the beach and went to the amphitheatre, spotting Amelia. "Hey Amelia can I talk to you for a moment?" He walked over to her.
Amelia look up at Wynn. She nodded and moved over so he could sit beside her. It was still relatively empty. Dinner hadn't ended quite yet.
he walked over to her and sat down next to her, "I heard you sigh earlier at the beach but I didn't want to ruin the moment, I looked over at you during dinner and you looked scared and upset, whats wrong?"
(Sorry just woke u)
Amelia smiled softly and shook her head. "Im alright Wynn. I'm just trying to deal with my cabin. You know how they can get."
(No one answered my question but imma take it upon myself anyway. I have an idea, but Shade, idk if you wanna have Wendi do this or just have another Hecate kid, but I’m gonna need someone who can manipulate the mist)
(Oh Wendi will gladly do it :)
(Awesome)
"yeah I know, I just want to make sure they aren't doing anything too serious, you know you can talk to me right?" He smiled at her
Amelia nodded. "Yeah i know. Nothing is really going on." She peered at him before looking back at the empty stage.
"okay," he turned back to look at the empty stage, happy to at least get some sort of confirmation that nothing serious was going on. "What do you think they will perform?"
Dove and Ash sat in a comfortable silence, if you don’t count the chattering Apollo kids near them. Eventually, she finished eating.
He sighed. “I’m leaving tomorrow, you know.”
“Oh.” She stood up as she faintly heard the head counselor’s call and felt movement next to her. “Me and Wendi talked about it earlier. I feel better about it than I did last night. I think… I think I’d be alright with just you watching the show, and then a goodbye.”
He gave a small, sad smile. “Of course. I’d like that too.”
Dove returned the smile, and they followed the Apollo cabin down to the amphitheater.
Dove and her siblings sat on the many crates littered around backstage. On the other side, the actors for the show could be seen practicing lines and acting out movements. There were some people from the Athena and Iris cabins running around, making sure the practical effects were in place. There were also others from cabins other than Apollo who offered to play as some of the background characters or play instruments.
As for Dove and her small group, they were the choir. Jonah Lowell, standing in front of them, was the choir director. Jonah was one of the older campers. His wavy red hair seemed a dull brown in the shadows of the corner of the stage they had to themselves. He held some stapled papers in his hand.
“Alright, is everyone situated? Raise your hand if you’re a Soprano.”
Dove raised her hand, along with some other girls.
“Okay. Altos? Tenors, Basses? Alright. Do you want to start with ‘Atalanta’s Ballad’ first?”
There was a murmur of consent, some whispers that the song that needed work. After giving each part their starting note, Jonah lifted his hands, moving them as he spoke.
“One, two, three, four.”
Dove’s mouth opened.
”Τα δάση της Αρκαδίας κρατούν έναν πολεμιστή στα κλαδιά τους”
”Δείτε την άνοδο”
”Δείτε την άνοδο”
And so they began rehearsing as dinner came to an end.
Wendi spotted the Apollo cabin leaving and excused herself to go join them. She had offered to help them with their performance tonight, always happy to use her gift in a friendly and positive manner. She popped in backstage ready to do her part in the performance.
Amelia shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. You know how the Apollo cabin is." She corssed her ankles, swinging them slightly.
"true true." He noticed her cross her ankles and tried to like not stare at her too much. He bounced his leg contemplating on whether he should make the move.
Amelia placed her hands beside her, smiling softly in content. The sun started disappearing and she knew the others would be there soon. So she enjoyed the quiet while she had it.
(I am back)
Nick looked over at Mya. "Is everything okay? You know I'm not much in most things. Other than revenge of course."
“ yeah” she looked over at him it was obvious to herself that she was lying but would he notice? “ so did you enjoy sparring today?”
Nick nodded his head. "It was nice. Did you enjoy it?" He asked as he finished eating.
“It was a lot of fun! Would you want to do it again tomorrow?” She hoped he would say yes she wished she could spend more time with him
