Wynn decided against it, he was enjoying this quiet moment with her even if for a short while. He set his hand at his side near hers but not too close. He tried not to make any noise, but he had to fidget somehow he couldn't just sit still. So he bounced his leg as silently as he could.
While the choir was rehearsing, Avery, who was working with the actors, spotted Wendi.
“Oh yes, you’re Dove’s friend? Remind me of your name, please?”
"Um, Wendi," she replied after a moment. She hadn't expected to be called out so quickly, but then again she had made a bit of an impression on the Apolo cabin being friends with Dove, "I'm here to help out with the show."
“Right, thank you so much! Do you know the story of Atalanta? After the choir sings a few songs, we’ll have a play acting out the story. Now, it involves 2 goddesses, Artemis and Aphrodite, and two beasts, a giant boar and a bear. Those will be the main things we’ll need the illusion of the Mist for. Nellie, Sasha, Connor and Hannah?”
A petite blonde girl, an Indian girl with long braided hair, a stocky boy with short brown hair, and a tall African American girl with space buns stepped forward.
“So just a quick rundown. Nellie will play as Aphrodite, Sasha as Artemis, Connor as the boar, and Hannah as the bear. I believe only Connor and Sasha will be onstage at the same time.”
Amelia glanced at Wynn. "Are you okay? You're more fidgety than usual." She raised an eyebrow in concern.
Wendi went silent and listened to Avery’s instructions nodding ever so often. When Avery was done Wendi gave one final firm nod, “I should be able to handle that.”
"hm? Oh that? It's nothing really. " He put a hand on his leg trying not to make it obviously he had to put pressure to keep his leg down and from bouncing.
“Awesome. The bear comes first in the play, so I’ll let you know when it’s Hannah’s cue.” Avery smiled, and the actors waved and introduced themselves, then went back to practicing.
"Got it," Wendi gave her a thumbs up. She quickly put names to faces so that she could more accurately move the mist (and know who to make what). After they left she decided to just practice a little making sure she could get a realistic looking bear and bore.
Amelia gave him a lot. "Im smarter than i look. You look agitated. So what's wrong?" She gave him almast a mom look.
"I told you ames, I'm fine. Nothings wrong." he smiled at her.
Amelia rolled her eyes. "If you say so." She turned her head back to the stage. Dinner would be over in a couple minutes.
Adin walked in and passed by amelia going to sit a couple seats away from them.
(Mya said a thing to nick)
Wynn just nodded, "yeah." He stared at her as she stared at the stage before then looked away hoping she wouldn't catch him staring.
Amelia glanced at him. She could feel his eyes on her. "What are you staring at?" She asked amused.
"Exactly what your staring at princess." He smirked at her, dying on the inside. He then turned to stare back at the stage.
Amelia rolled her eyes. "Deflecting i see." Sne looked back at the stage. Dinner should be iver by then. The bond fire should be lit soon.
"And what ever would be deflecting?" He still had a smirk on his face leaning back in his chair a little bit.
Amelia glared at him. "Has anyone ever told yoi how annoying you can be?" She asmed.
"yup, many times. Which makes me wonder why you tolerate me." He booped her.
“Ok guys, just remember, blending is key. We don’t want any one to stand out like a sore thumb, alright? Now, what else do we think needs work?” Jonah flipped through his papers.
“Perhaps Meleager’s death scene?” One of the of the Tenors suggested.
“Ah, yes. We should have time for that. Remember Sopranos, Altos, watch for me so you come in on time.” He gave the starting notes, then slowly, he counted. “One, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three.”
The Basses made a low ohh sound.
Dove’s eyes wandered for a moment, and she spotted Wendi across the stage. She wanted to get her attention, but it looked like she was busy, and- was that fur sprouting in front of her? But in the corner of her eye, she saw Jonah signal the Sopranos and Altos, and she had to focus on singing again.
Wendi was focused as she created a bear in front of her. It took a moment of pure focus but she managed to get it done. At least she could do that, getting it to move was another thing.
"I wonder the same thing." Amelia murmured. She rolled her eyes again.
"the great Amelia eye roll, you have litterally done it a million times in the past five minutes." He smirked at her looking at the stage.
