Despite everyone else screaming and running in horror, Cambria stayed still, flames curling around her clenched fists. She had no idea what to do, as attacking the King was an offence she'd rather not suffer the consequences for. But he was still raving, screaming and destroying anything–anyone– that he came into contact with. He had really lost everything then, especially his mind. To kill the King would really be a mercy at this point. Cambria scowled, she had faced many enemies upon the battlefield, but never one that she had once respected.
(I can have Etzli do something if you want her to interact with Ames and Dominik again. Or, I have another idea, but I need FaeEris' permission first.)
(we kinda need people to interact with the King going bonkers. But Whisper go ahead and PM me)
(My dude is saving his own hide.)
(I would save my hide right after saving my girlfriend's so… She and my younger sister are honestly the only ones I would put before myself.)
(Meanwhile I'm gonna move my knight to king 4 XD)
The Lord and his butler remained on the balcony for a moment, both of them individually thinking of a way to handle the situation before them. It wasn't until Dominik shook his head solemnly that Ames had an idea. He whispered it to Dominik, a little nervously as if he was unsure as to whether or not it would work.
"You know, I think that might be the only option we have at the moment. Be careful." Dominik smiled, watching as Ames vanished and reappeared behind the king. He reached out a hand, clasping the back of the king's neck, and everything seemed to stand still as the energy slowly drained away from the king. Ames let go when he felt he had drained the monarch enough to simply calm him down. He wanted the king to be aware of what was going on, and to be calm enough to think.
"Your Highness, take a look around you. What do you see?"
(Ooh!)
Etzli heard the noise from the ballroom quieting. She just kept staring into the fire though. She felt so sick…
(I wish people were on this more. It's such a good RP so far…)
(Sorry guys! adulthood has gotten in the way a bit, but I shall be on more tomorrow!)
(Oof! Understandable. XD)
(Oh dear lords, I have missed a lot. Would it be be
Tter if my character gets killed?)
(also guys, I'm so sorry. I got super sick this past weekend and couldn't do anything but go to urgent care. But I hope to get this going again this week.)
(Hey no it's okay, life happens. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes honestly)
(Aw, Eris, it's fine! I hope you get better soon, we can wait!)
(Yeah don't worry about it thy Goddess bows)
Cambria stood in complete stillness, ready at any moment to make a move. If she killed the king it would be her head, but at least there would be no further bloodshed. My gods, he's killed so many innocents. Her gut twisted in mild annoyance, she would much rather be at home.
The King jerked away from the other vampire. "Do not touch me, filth. My mind is my own." the words hissed from under his fangs. Although he said such words, he still looked somewhat remorseful as he stared at the blood on his hands and the carrion that surrounded him. But that soft expression vanished within an instant. "They deserved this." He yelled, taking in the Nobles around him. "Cowards. All of them!"
"What good will it do you to attack those who trust you as their ruler?" Dominik called from the balcony before appearing beside his butler. "Your highness, if you wish to remain a king to the people, it is in your best interest that you remain composed at times like these. We understand your grief, we know your pain, however.." he glanced around at the bloodshed before turning his attention back to the king. "Murdering the innocent is not what the people expect from a king they trust. If word of this gets out, it could spark a rebellion. I do not say this with the intent of threatening you, my king, but it is something to think about."
Etzli appeared near Dominick's elbow. She whispered to herself, "The king's heart is filled with grief. Grief can blind people to the truths…."
(Sorry, I just had to get Etzli back in gear.)
Klaus moved closer to the group of congregating nobles, clearly on edge. But he approached his King nevertheless, his footsteps quiet on the carpet as he approached near Dominick's left side.
Etzli gripped her skirts as she prayed Klaus wouldn't get hurt. She was holding her breath and avoiding looking at the bodies and blood strewn everywhere.
Klaus just paused, thinking better of getting too close. He glanced at Dominick once, sighing with a slight huff into the silent air.
"I think we can agree that you will need to give some kind of speech tomorrow, sir," He suddenly murmured in his deep voice.
