Edith frown, shaking her head at the event that unfolded before her. Such a pitiful thing to witness. As the young Lady was taken away from the "throngs of oppression", Edith could see the boy she danced with, that mysterious fledgling. He floated away in clouds.
"Such theatrics…" Edith muttered with a roll of her eyes, expressing her deep distaste. "It is futile to argue with those who are hopeless."
Cambria made a rather unladylike 'harrumph' in agreement with Edith. Seems that they had a similar way of thinking. Perhaps she would become more a friend than just an ally in the current predicament. "It's like trying to herd children." She continued, muttering as she leaned up against the wall. Also, very unladylike.
Noticing Edith's gaze following the strange fledgling, she arched a brow at her and flicked her chin at his receding cloudy form. "That one perhaps is a bit more trouble that we think. Obviously he has some notable Noble blood within him in order for him to receive the summons." She tilted her head to the side like an inquisitive cat. "But who?"
Klaus listened to the women's most unladylike of harrumphs, his lips turned up in a slight smile. So it wasn't that bad to share in such thoughts. Though, instead of intruding on the party, he turned and swished his way back to the ball, his feet almost completely silent in the hall. He slipped back into the ballroom, where many middle-class citizens had quickly filled up. He looked up at his Prince, then made his way to the tables of fresh food and meat, not bothering to even look to the dance floor.
Victor followed, though accidentally and landed near Klaus and began to pile food onto a platter.
Etlzi took the bottle from Ames. "Coconut milk is a good emergency replacement for humans for blood transfusions. I was starving when I found this out. Now I drink nothing else." She took a long gulp. "It's not really all that satisfying though…"
(Hi. I feel a little disappointed in myself for not including Victor more earlier.)
(I just really like him, and kind of want to interact with him more.)
(Cool. Maybe later then as she is the only character he is on good terms with atm.)
(alright! the killer and I have worked out some plot ideas. WOO. One moment whilst I type up some stuff.)
Cambria never got an answer to her curiously offhanded question because the King chose that moment to fly off his rocker.
He exploded from his throne with such force that it left a spiderweb of large cracks all through the ornate chair. Standing amongst the stunned crowd, he spun slowly taking them all in with hate filled eyes. "How can you all smile…and laugh…?" The question deadly quiet as it shivered through the room, laced with pure malice. "How can you all act if nothing has happened? My wife is DEAD." He was screaming now, his entire body shaking in rage. He did not look like at a King at all in this moment, but rather a crazed male, too dangerous to do anything but stare at.
No one spoke, not even a whisper from the assembly of the undead, but this seemed to only anger him more. The King roared, grabbing a near by patron and ripping their head from their body. The crowd around them shifted slightly, moving away, but still the King ripped through more patrons. Tearing out hearts, throats, and intestines. Blood soaked and surrounded by a circle of decomposing vampires, he screamed once more. "Where is that murderous fiend that took her from me? Show your face if you wish to challenge the King! Bring me your head!" Expletives followed in a stream, showing that the King truly was losing the sanity he had left.
Cambria looked on with thinly veiled horror. "My gods." She whispered to herself. Moving quickly, she began to escort people out of the ballroom, hissing at them to leave quietly and never return. Only the strongest of their kind would be able to handle the King now.
(…. Oh my gods…. I'm so glad I had Etzli leave. She would have just… yeah…. is slightly horrified)
(I'm beginning to feel like I did not specify enough that vampires=violence. awkward chuckle)
(Nah, I knew this, it's just the RP has been so tame for so long, that I kinda got lulled into a sense of security. lol)
Victor dropped the platter in shock. Before it had finished clattering on the marble floor he had disappeared from the room.
Etzli suddenly dropped her bottle, shattering it on the fireplace hearth. "Something's very wrong." Her eyes were wide with shock and fear.
Klaus had been glancing suspiciously at Victor until the outburst from his king. He swept out from the ballroom, gently grabbing Cambria's shoulder.
"You should save yourself. You are a noble, we cannot lose one." Without looking at her reaction, he fled from the room and down the hall, his robe-like overcoat flicking up.
"I agree.." Ames' eyes narrowed dangerously as he rose from the kneeling position. "I think it would be best that we return to the ball. Are you able to walk? I could carry you if you wish."
He could smell the blood from down the hall, he knew what was going on. Why would the King do something so reckless..? He could understand the emotions the man was feeling, yet there had to be a better way to deal with his emotions.
Etzli grabbed the arms of her chair. "No. That's exactly where it's most dangerous to be. I'm not going back, but go make sure your employer is all right. I- I'm going to stay here…" She was shaking.
Screams caused Edith to wince as she whirled around to face the king. They were all so loud, and everything had gone to hell so quickly. Her eyes widened as the King's blood trail expanded . "My gods!" She exclaimed as she backed away, expanded a wall of black swirling shadows before her and the escaping civilians. "He's lost it!" She shouted to the others. "We need to leave! Now!" She gave a nod to Hugo and Gunther, the brutes ushering others out.
"If you're sure. If you need me, just call my name." Ames bowed to Etzli with a gentle smile, before he vanished from the room. He found Dominik on the balcony, looking down upon the king's mess.
"He's gone mad." Dominik chuckled grimly. "Perhaps he killed his own wife, I mean look at the havoc the man can leave in his wake."
"Is this how kings are supposed to act, especially in the presence of a large number of subjects?" Ames frowned, rubbing his chin in thought.
Dominik shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. He found Cambria and Klaus down on the floor, not too far from where the king was tearing innocent people to shreds. "This isn't how I would react, that's for sure."
Etzli shivered in fear, but stood up and shakily walked over so she sat in front of the fire. How easy it would be just to throw herself in… She clenched her fists, and took a deep breath….
