Kaiholo takes a few moments to process your response before muttering something to himself under his breath. Yuki opened the door for you and Kaiholo as you all find a table to sit at. Kaiholo did his best to stay out of the way of people passing by as he lowered his legs in order to be closer to eye level with everyone else. As everyone ordered lunch, Yuki turned back to everyone else at the table and announced, "Okay, so I know Myst might not be able to help much with our case because she's more of a subjective person, but I think talking to her will help Jenny become more acquainted with the world, does that sound good?"
Celia nodded in agreement, but Kaiholo was clearly holding back saying a lot of things.
"Okay, so I know Myst might not be able to help much with our case because she's more of a subjective person, but I think talking to her will help Jenny become more acquainted with the world, does that sound good?" Yuki says. I smile, the idea of meeting a real queen excites me.
"I think that's a good idea. If I never get my memories back, might as well!" I chime. Being positive came so naturally to me, but there was still the frustration in the back of my head. The frustration and sheer curiosity of where I came from, who I am, who I used to know.
Am I still me?
Celia smiles as the waitress brings the plates of food.
"I hope you do get comfortable here, Jenny." She chimes, taking a sip of her drink. "I've definitely enjoyed your company."
Kaiholo fidgets.
Yuki nods with a gentle smile, adjusting his position in his seat to be more comfortable.
"Yeah, I mean, you can just make new memories with us, right?"
Kaiholo turns his head away from the table, as if he heard something. What is up with him? He's almost like that part of a dream where he doesn't make sense.
I put my head down in embarrassment, "You guys are too sweet. I'm already making memories with you!" But I wish I could make new memories while having the old.
I gaze back up at everyone, wiping my sweaty hands on my torn up pants. "I'd like to at least know more about you guys, though. Yuki told me his story, but I don't know either of yours," I exclaimed, grinning. "Celia? Kai?" I hope we aren't on a time limit, I just want to chat with everyone forever, despite not having any stories of my own to tell.
Celia jumps up at the opportunity to share, grinning the whole time that she explains to you.
"I'm a Shifter! It's where I can turn into an animal, but I can only turn into a fox. I had two brothers that I loved to tease and my youngest brother always wanted my red hair, so he ate as many berries as he could because his older brother told him if he ate enough berries his hair would turn red."
Celia's warm smile held on her face as she remembered her family.
I chuckle, the idea of a little kid stuffing his face with berries. "You'll have to show me! Foxes are so cool, I wish I could turn into an animal. How did you meet Yuki?"
Celia beamed, strangely ignoring your first response.
"It was actually pretty similar to how we found you. I accidentally got myself into a dangerous predicament that I couldn't get out of. I was battling an orc, at least I think it was an orc, and Yuki arrived just in time to save me before the orc threw me against a rock." Yuki sighs and rolls his eyes.
"No need to praise me, you had already beaten down the troll pretty well by the time I showed up."
I raise my eyebrows as Celia explains their meeting. It leads me to believe there are monsters in this world. I wonder if I could've been killed in the forest; I'm suddenly grateful that a friendly spider found me instead of literally anything else. I glance at Yuki and smirk. "So you did save someone?"
Celia slams her drink onto her table, remnants of the liquid dripping from the corners of her mouth.
"He said I remind him of his sister!"
Yuki blushed a greenish blue blush as he shook his hands defensively.
"That's not why I intervened! I wasn't going to just leave her."
Yuki tries to hide his blushing as he shovels food in his face, sinking into his torso as Celia grins, leaning towards you to mutter the next part under her breath.
"He said I'm more lively than his sister, though."
I admire Yuki's blue blushing. "I don't doubt that," I say, trying not to laugh.
There is just never a moment where Celia isn't bouncing off the walls. Personally, I'd get exhausted after awhile, but if Yuki enjoys her company more power to him.
I take a sip of my drink. I ordered something called kitsuru, only to find it was like a carbonated version of the tea Yuki made. It went surprisingly well with my food though. I chuck my plate at kai to get his fucking atteniont its ur turn you abslute whore ill ki
I shift to Kai's direction. "So, we got tragic backstory one, tragic backstory two, tell me, Kaiholo, what is your tragic backstory?"
Kaiholo jumps and turn his head to face the three of you, causing you to realize he was facing anywhere else. He was fidgeting, too. He gave a gentle and small smile, shaking his head.
"I'd rather not discuss that with all these people around," He murmured, furrowing his brow, "Not that it matters, I guess."
Everyone was quiet for a few moments, causing Kaiholo to feel a little guilty as he fidgets.
"Understandable. You don't have to, we have plenty of other moments to talk, right?" I exclaim, slightly hinting that he should consider becoming friends with us. His hesitation intrigues me greatly. I take another spoonful of whatever the fuck I'm eating.
You guys suddenly time skip to walking up to the castle!!!!!!
As the doors open in a sort of grand manner, Myst is already waiting on the other side, giving Celia a welcoming hug and eyeing Kaiholo suspiciously. She turns to Yuki and scoffs, shaking her head dismissively similar to the interaction with a family member with opposing political views as you.
"It's very nice to see you two again," Myst begins, turning to you and Kaiholo. "Now who are these two lovely guests?"
Myst stands before us, tall and confidently. Her hair falls down around her mid-waist, each wave perfectly in its respectable place. I inhale sharply, rather intimidate by Myst's presence. She emanated a queen vibe, that's for sure. Powerful and most definitely a leader. Do I bow? Shower her with gifts? She's royalty, after all.
"I'm Jenny," I say with a smile, holding out a hand.
Myst grins widely and shakes your hand.
"It's very nice to meet you Jenny! And who is this lovely spider boy?" She continues, turning to face Kaiholo as he waves a gentle hand.
"My name is Kaiholo, I've heard a lot about you."
Myst chuckles and nods.
"Good things, I presume."
and then everybody claps
Yuki turned to Myst and proceeded to explain.
"We found Jenny in the forest by my cabin, she has no memory of anything before that and she thought grass was green."
Myst gives you an intrigued glance, tilting her head curiously to the side.
"Very interesting, was it the work of a faerie?" She inquires.
Kaiholo fidgets.

I glare at Yuki for mentioning the grass fact. He's never going to let that go, is he? Myst looks to me. "Very interesting, was it the work of a faerie?"
I shake my head. "I feel like this is a bit more deep-rooted than a simple faerie prank. It's almost like I'm in the wrong universe or something," I explain, hoping it made sense to Myst. She must be intelligent as well.
Myst shrugged her shoulders, almost dismissively as she taps her finger on her chin, in deep thought.
"I guess, I'm not into all that universe and cosmos stuff. I just focus on what's going on down here."
Myst takes a thoughtful sigh before continuing.
"If you're from a different universe, then there's got to be a way to get back, right? Surely you got here somehow."
This time, Yuki seemed so deep in thought that he was almost fidgeting. His eyes were focused on space, but he was facing Kaiholo.
I laugh nervously. "Well, the thing is, if I can't remember the old universe, I don't see a purpose in going back. It would take me forever to find my family and friends… Is there some kind of magic that can get you your memories back?" I question, rubbing my chin. Will it take long for me to get used to this place? Do I want to find a way back to my world?
Myst shrugs her shoulders as Kaiholo scratches behind his neck.
"That only depends on if it was magic that took away your memories." Kaiholo mutters under his breath. Myst nods as she claps her hands together.
"Well, it was lovely meeting you two, but I've got to go to the town square. Despite me trying to encourage people not to litter, they haven't quite gotten used to it."
Myst bids you and the others farewell as you find yourselves walking towards the exit of the kingdom.
"So…what next?" Celia asks, the realization in her voice that Yuki might not have anymore answers.
Kaiholo turns to the rest of you, causing all of you to pause.
"I think I've overstayed my welcome, I should probably take my leave before…" He trails off as Celia protests him leaving.

We all head back outside, suddenly realizing there is no plan. "So… what next?" says Celia.
Suddenly, Kai faces us and announces his departure.
"What?" I say in distress. "But we just met! We haven't even exchanged n-" I stop, realizing that there is no such thing as phones here from what I've seen. I don't even have one anyways. I inhale and try again. "At least stay for dinner. You have yet to tell me about yourself, and I still have, like, infinite questions! So stay, pretty please? For me?" l pray that my begging was convincing enough for him.
Kaiholo hesitates, clearly debating within himself as he gives in.
"Okay," He starts, scratching the palm of his hand as he nods slowly. "I guess I can't get out of explaining everything forever. You deserve to hear about it."
Yuki and Celia furrow their brows at Kaiholo's utterances, but seem nevertheless glad that you convinced him to stay for a little longer.
