Liam ruffled his hair and checked the time. Good thing Kasey didn’t want him to cut his hair as he’d missing his appointment.
Once he’d taken his meds and fed his cat he sat down in his computer to get some work done, even brought he didn’t want too.
Kasey slid off her bed, careful of her leg. Quake bounced into the room and wound around the heroine's legs. She chuckled and made her way to the kitchen to feed the cat.
Liam sighed dramatically and banged his head on the desk multiple times with a groan.
“Stupid. Useless. Brain.” He let his his head rest on the desk while Mortem walked around his feet meowing. Liam just ignored him.
Kasey fed Quake, the poured herself a simple bowl of cereal. She sat at the table, putting her leg up on the chair across from her.
Liam sighed and let out another groan, picking up his phone to text Kasey.
LIAM: Help, brain isn’t working. I have no writing ideas. And no company (Mortem doesn’t count)
Kasey let her bowl clatter in the sink and pulled her phone out. She glanced at the text with a chuckle.
KASEY: Lol. Um… You can come over? Or I can come over there?
LIAM: I’ll come to you, I don’t want you to injure your leg more then you have. If that’s okay?
KASEY: 'Course it's ok! I think the door's unlocked, so just walk in.
LIAM: Okay, I’ll be over in a few. But if I get too annoying don’t be afraid to kick me out.
Liam headed to his room to change, pulling on some grey pants and grey sweater and a blue patterned poncho thing on the top.
KASEY: That is highly unlikely, but I'll keep that idea in my back pocket.
She looked down at herself and cringed. She was still wearing yesterday's clothes. Maybe she should change?
Liam shook his head at the message and finished getting ready but an idea struck him.
LIAM: I'll be over in fifteen, there's something I gotta do.
Grabbing his car keys, Liam decided to head to the shops to buy Kasey some flowers. He didn't know why he suddenly wanted to buy her flowers, but thought it would be nice to do, a thank-you for saving his life and an I love you gesture.
(Dude, I can hear an owl from outside… I never hear owls in the city, not even at night.)
Kasey had gotten up and was slowly making her way back to her bedroom when she got Liam's text.
KASEY: All right, no problem. See you then! xo
Liam quickly drove to the shops and brought some red and white roses. Once that was done, he returned to the apartments and up to Kasey's, knocking on the door before opening it.
"Hey, it's me."
(That's so sweet.)
Kasey had decided that she probably should get dressed, so she'd changed into a long black sweater and maroon leggings. She'd even brushed her hair and her teeth in the extra time she'd had before Liam arrived.
"Hey! I'm just finishing up in my room," she called, running her fingers through her hair once more before she stepped out. Her eyes landed on the flowers and softened immediately. She grinned and whispered, "Are those for me?"
(ehe)
Liam immediately became flustered and blushed a little, "Oh uh.. y-yeah they are. I-I thought I would um.. get you these to uh… say thank-you f-for everything, saving my life and all and um.. j-just because I love you… god this went better in my head…" He bit his lip and took a step forward, "F-for you."
Kasey lightly laughed under her breath as she stepped forward as well. She carefully took the bouquet and smelled the flowers before smiling up at Liam.
"Thank you. I love them," she murmured softly, reaching up to brush her lips against his.
Liam smiled softly at her, "I-I'm glad you do." He let out a small breath he didn't know he was holding and tilted his head slightly to the side and after a moments hesitation, connected their lips.
Kasey kissed him back gently, placing her free hand on his cheek. She held the flowers off to the side to avoid crushing them.
Liam placed his hand on hers as they kissed, trying to be gentle. After a moment, he pulled back and rested his forehead on Kasey's.
"I love you," Kasey whispered when they pulled apart.
"I love you more." Liam whispered back, not taking his forehead away from Kasey's.
"I love you most," Kasey countered, smiling as she whispered.
Liam gave a small smile back, "I love you to infinity."
"That's totally not fair," Kasey laughed, pulling away finally.
Liam's smile grew slightly, "How is it not fair?"
