(Not the ones I babysit. They're pretty well behaved. Except for bedtime…)
Harper chuckled. "So, how long have you two known each other?"
(Lol, I don't have to babysit that often)
Liam shrugged and took out his phone and opened his notes to wrote his reply.
'since we moved in pretty much… I think'
(Every Tuesday night until February, I think…)
"So quite a while, then," Harper said with a nod, eating another spoonful of yogurt. "And it was just about a week or two ago that you started dating?"
Liam nodded and wrote something down again.
'No offense man but I feel like I'm being interrogated.'
Harper laughed. "Sorry, sorry. Just trying to make conversation, you know? And the topic at hand happens to be my sister," he said with a shrug.
'I know I know. What's it like to have a sibling? Or family for that matter?'
Liam bit his lip and hesitated for a moment before showing Harper the screen.
Harper glanced down at the screen and his gaze softened. He put his yogurt down, then rubbed the back of his neck as he leaned against the counter.
"Honestly? It can be a lot of work… When your parents aren't there to raise you or your sister, it gets hard. Stressful. And then she got her powers around the same time as… well, as plenty of other things. I had no idea what to do for the longest time," he said softly, running his hand through his hair. "But it's good. I love her, and I hope her life turns out amazing."
Liam nodded and sighed.
'Yeah, but you had each other and that's better then nothing. She's an amazing girl, and I have no doubt life will be good to her.'
"I hope so," Harper sighed. He smiled at Liam again. "You should go back to her. I'm sure she's missing you."
Liam rolled his eyes.
'Totally, I doubt she ever does.' He showed Harper the last message before walking back to Kasey's room.
Harper raised an eyebrow at the message and shook his head as Liam walked away.
Kasey glanced up when Liam walked in, giving him a small smile.
Liam returned the smile and mouth a 'hey' as took up his position on the bed again.
Kasey glanced at Liam for a moment and sighed.
"I'm sorry about what I said…" she murmured.
'It wasn't your fault, I took what you said the wrong way… and I also did need a glass of water.' Liam wrote to her with a small smile.
"Okay," Kasey said with a smile. She bent to press a kiss to his cheek.
Liam returned the kiss and sighed a little.
'I want my voice back now…'
"I want you to have your voice back, too," Kasey sighed. "I miss it…"
Liam cocked his head to the side and furrowed his brows but a smile tugged at his lips.
'Really?'
"Yeah. I… like your voice…" Kasey said, a red coat coming to her cheeks.
Liam smirked.
'I like yours, too.' He showed her the message before gently connecting their lips together.
Kasey started at the sudden kiss before melting into it. She closed her eyes as she kissed him back.
Liam gently rested his fingers on her chin, the other hand keeping him up to her face as he kissed her slowly and gently.
You're sick… Kasey thought as she pressed closer.
You said you don't get sick. Liam replied but pulled away a little.
