Kasey peeked her eyes open after she realized Liam was asleep and studied his face for a moment. She hoped his frown would go away, but she just didn't know how to help. With a soft sigh, she kissed his forehead and closed her eyes again, quickly falling asleep.
This time, Liam slept fine. His frown disappeared and was replaced by calm in Kasey’s presence as he slept.
Kasey woke up a while later, fully awake and feeling very restless. She gently pulled out of Liam's grasp and glared down at her leg.
Liam groaned when Kasey moved but rolled into his back, setting back down calmly.
Kasey glanced over at Liam when he rolled over and smiled slightly. She sighed and carefully swung her leg off the bed. Maybe she could walk on it, now…?
Liam sighed in his sleep, his head lolling to the side ss if to look st Kasey but his eyes stayed shut.
Kasey's gaze shot back over to him. He was still asleep, so it wasn't like he could tell her not to.
Liam groaned again and rolled over away from Kasey, pulling his knees to his chest carefully.
Maybe she shouldn't…
Kasey put her feet down on the ground and pushed herself up off the bed. She took in a sharp breath when she put weight on her bad leg.
Liam blinked his eyes over and rolled over.
“Kasey? What are you doing?” Even though Liam spoke, his voice was hoarse and bade,y more then a whisper.
Kasey jumped and turned around, her eyes wide in surprise.
"Nothing. Just standing," she said quickly.
Liam frowned but then smiled a little.
“Even though I don’t like that you’re standing as you could injure yourself further, it’s good that you leg’s getting better.”
("snaked" Lol.)
Kasey smiled, somewhat relieved.
"I just really needed to move…" she said sheepishly.
(Smiled** still rlly sleepy, I’ll fix it now)
“It’s fine, just be careful.” Liam said, rubbing his face.
(Lol. It's okay. I do that, too. And I figured that was what you meant.)
"Your voice is working again!" Kasey said, grinning as she changed the subject and carefully made her way around the bed.
“Barely, it feels like someone rubbed sandpaper down my throat.” Liam replied with a sigh, looking up at Kasey.
"Do you want some water?" Kasey asked, smiling down at him before turning back around to circle the bed again.
Liam nodded, “Yes please.” He said, giving Kasey a grateful smile.
"Okay. I'll be right back, then," Kasey said as she made her way to the door.
Liam was going to say something about her leg but decided against it, rolling over onto his side with a sigh.
Kasey slowly and carefully walked into the kitchen. She could see Harper asleep on the couch, and she smiled as she stepped past him.
She grabbed a glass from the cupboard and filled it before deciding she wanted one as well. Once both glasses were filled, she took them back to her room. Sitting on the edge of her bed, she handed one to Liam with a smile.
Liam sat up and took the glass from Kasey, “Thank-you.” He said before sowing the glass.
"No problem," Kasey said before taking a sip. She moved up so that she was leaning back against the headboard.
Liam placed the glass on the side table and laid back with a sigh. He drawled one arm over Kasey’s middle in the process.
