"…Thanks, I guess…?" Kasey murmured as the red on her cheeks darkened more.
"…Thanks, I guess…?" Kasey murmured as the red on her cheeks darkened more.
"You guess? It's true, you're adorable." Liam replied.
"Um… 'Kay," Kasey mumbled. What am I supposed to say to that???
"You're also cute when your awkward," Liam sat up, "I'm going to the bathroom." He said before heading to the bathroom.
"Okay," Kasey said quietly as he walked away. Maybe she would finally have her blush under control when he got back…
HARRRRPPPPERRRRRR!
Oh my word, what do you need this time?
Nothing, I just wanted to bother you. Kasey giggled at his annoyed tone.
…If you do that again, I'm going back to my old place.
Okay, okay! Fine!
Liam came back five minuets later and stretched his back out as he enter the room again. He then had to stop himself and turn away as he coughed furiously.
Kasey sat up and looked at Liam worriedly.
"Are you okay?" she asked, wishing she could move her leg so she could get down and walk to him. "Are you sure you don't want something for your cough?"
Liam shook his head and turned back once he was finished, "I'm fine." He said, his voice hoarse.
Kasey frowned but let it go. If he wanted to torture himself by denying her help, there wasn't much she could do. Well, besides forcing it down his throat, but that's not generally accepted in society.
Liam walked over and collapsed onto the bed face first with a groan, "Okay… mayyybe I need something for the cough." He admitted, rolling over a little to look up at Kasey.
Kasey smiled down at him and kissed his forehead softly.
"Good choice," she said before calling for Harper to get it.
Her brother mentally sighed and did as asked, bringing in to them not long after. Kasey shot him a grateful grin and thanked him before he left.
Liam rolled over and put his hand out for Kasey to put the stuff in his hand, "Thank-you… well thanks Harper for bringing them."
"He says you're welcome," Kasey chuckled after relaying the message. She handed Liam the bottle of cough medicine. "I hope this helps."
"Thanks." Liam sat up and took the right amount he needed before handing it to Kasey to put down on the floor or somewhere before rolling over onto his stomach again.
Kasey set the bottle on the nightstand beside her since she couldn't reach the floor without some difficulty.
"You doin' okay?" she asked Liam, seeing his position.
Liam nodded, "Mhm, I'm doing fine. How's your leg?" His voice was a little muffled by the bed as he spoke.
"Still a pain and in pain," Kasey admitted with a sigh. "Sometimes I wish I had rapid recovery as one of my powers…"
Liam chuckled into the mattress, "Now that would be helpful. At least you don't get sick like someone you know…" He raised an arm and pointed to himself.
"Aw. Sorry, normal human boyfriend. I wish there was a way to help you more," Kasey giggled.
Liam groaned and his arm flopped back down, draping over Kasey's lap, "Me too, I hate being sick…"
Kasey lightly ran her fingers across his arm, tracing invisible shapes.
"Do you want to go back to sleep?" she asked. "You seem exhausted."
Liam shook his head, "No, I wanna stay awake with you." He lifted his head and gave Kasey a smile before blowing a piece of hair out of his face.
Kasey gave him a small smile and brushed the hair out of his face.
"Are you sure?" she asked. "I'm kinda boring right now."
"So? You're not boring to me. Although I apologise if I accidentally fall asleep on you." He said, nuzzling his face into her side.
"That's all right. If you do I might just decide to follow suit," Kasey said with a smile.
