Liam nodded, though he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as that. He climbed out the car.
Liam nodded, though he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as that. He climbed out the car.
Kasey followed like out of the car, then made her way over to him. She locked her car before starting for the apartment door.
“We’ll have to look into it,” she mused.
Liam nodded, gently taking her hand in his, "We don't really have any other choice, do we?"
“Not at all,” Kasey said with a long sigh, giving his hand a squeeze. “I’ll see what I can get from the police.”
“I’ll try and find some stuff on the web. Maybe they’ll be something there.” He squeezed back.
Kasey nodded, stopping at the door and unlocking it. They stepped inside, and she locked it behind them again.
“Do you want something to eat? It’s about supper time,” she mused.
Liam thought for a moment before shaking his head, “No, I’m not all hungry, but thank you. I’m going to try and find some stuff on the prison Matt was held in.”
Kasey nodded, making her way into the kitchen. “I’m just going to make myself a sandwich quick, then, before I make some phone calls. Let me know if you want anything.”
He nodded, "Yeah okay." Liam headed over to his computer, sitting down and cracking his knuckles. There had to be something, right?
After making a sandwich and pouring a glass of water for herself, Kasey walked over to the table. She set her things down, then went to grab her computer. With everything set up, she began to do some research of her own.
Time dragged on for the two of them. Liam had little to no luck finding anything useful on the prison, mainly just basic information that would be of no use.
Kasey located the name of Matt’s lawyer and his phone number, though not for a long while. She’d had to make numerous phone calls, so by the time she found it, she didn’t want to call another person.
“I need a break,” she mumbled, setting her phone down on the table and resting her head against it.
Liam looked over his shoulder, giving Kasey a sympathetic smile, "You okay cutie?" He asked, sliding over on the wheely chair.
“Yeah… Just not a fan of all these phone calls. Not my favorite thing to do,” Kasey said, lifting her head to glance at Liam. “How’s your researching going?”
Liam sighed, "Terribly. All information that might be useful is hidden away and not readily available to the public."
“Awesome… Just awesome…” Kasey muttered, rubbing at her forehead. “I need a break. Do you want some ice cream?”
Liam shrugged, "I could go for some ice-cream," He stood, kissing her on the head, "I'll get it."
Kasey smiled at up Liam. “Thanks. Strawberry, please.”
Liam gave her a two fingered salute, heading into the kitchen, "Gotcha."
Kasey typed more questions into her laptop, searching for more answers that she knew she wouldn’t find. Maybe she would… but it was unlikely. Besides, she really did need that break, so she eventually just closed the window and leaned back on her seat.
Liam hummed quietly to himself while he made the two of them some ice-cream. Matt was seriously messing with the both of them now and he hated it, mainly because he didn't want Kasey to be stressed. The quicker they put him in prison or killed him the better. He sighed, bringing the food over once he'd finished making it.
Kasey glanced up at Liam when he came back with the ice cream, giving him a small smile. “Thanks, love. I think I’m just going to call it a day for now… I’ll pick up where I left off tomorrow.”
Liam nodded a little, placing her food in front of her before he resumed his own seat, "Okay. I'm going to try and continue a little later."
“Sounds good,” Kasey said, scooping a spoonful of ice cream into her mouth. She hummed in satisfaction, leaning back in her seat.
Liam scooped up some of his own ice cream, taking a bite with a sigh. Honestly it had been a while since he'd had the dessert.
