When Cyrus turned back around, he could see the glisten of a tear in Luna's eye.
"Luna…? Are you alright?" he asked with great concern, going slightly closer to her.
When Cyrus turned back around, he could see the glisten of a tear in Luna's eye.
"Luna…? Are you alright?" he asked with great concern, going slightly closer to her.
Luna wiped at her eyes. She wasn't going to tell him just yet. A wound reopened itself and she didn't want to pry it open further, "Y-Yeah. I just r-remembered something."
"You can tell me about it… If you want. Or I can give you a hug or something, if you'd rather not talk about it," Cyrus offered, trying to tread carefully. He knew she had to have been through a lot to not come back and to have been thought dead for so long. Perhaps she had faced some unspeakable trauma- no, of course she had. Something about her had changed, and not necessarily for the better. Cyrus didn't want to dredge up anything terrible before she was ready.
Luna wasn't ready to talk about it, she wasn't even sure if she was ready to be around people again. Out alone in the woods she had finally felt so sure of herself, but here? It was entirely different story, she had lost all progress. She looked at Cyrus, "A h-hug please?"
"Of course," Cyrus said. He walked up to Luna and held her tight for a moment, up until she was ready to let go.
"Everything's going to be alright now…"
Luna reached around and squeezed Cyrus back. She let go shortly after, these were her friends. No need to be scared of them. They only wanted to help her, and she never wanted to lose them again, "I know."
Cyrus bit at his lower lip when he let go. He knew something was off… very off… But he dared not say anything. He felt his chest shudder a little bit with held back tears. There was nothing more he wanted right now than to cry for her and all she had gone through, but he had to be strong this time.
Luna looked down at the floor. She let out a small sigh, now Cyrus was sad. This is wasn't she wanted by coming back, she wanted for them to just be happy together again. What happened, was her mental burden to bare. It was nothing new, just a bit more than Luna had thought.
"If you ever want to do anything to get your mind off things, let me know," Cyrus told her, "That's what we're here for. Don't you ever worry about burdening us or anything, because you're not…"
Luna glanced to Sparrow and then back to Cyrus. She debated in her mind before finally asking, "Thank you. Do you think we c-could spar then?"
Cyrus was a little tired from fighting Sparrow earlier, but he didn't really care enough to turn her down.
"Yeah, sure. That sounds fun."
"A-are you sure? You sparred with S-sparrow no to long ago," Luna said almost immediately regretting her request.
"Of course. I'm not busy," Cyrus replied, "I mean, I offered to do something with you. I can't just take it back, now can I?"
"Not really," Luna cracked a slight smile, "I-I'm ready when you are."
"Alright, let's get going then," Cyrus said.
He started walking, and Zelda was a few bounds behind him.
Luna walked out after him, she wasn't trying to mess up the relationship between Sparrow and Cyrus. Just trying to get her mind focused, and time had shown this was one of the better ways for her to do it. When she didn't have her books at least.
Cyrus finished walking to the training room and went to strap on the same gloves he had used earlier.
"What are we doing?" he asked.
Zelda mewed and sat over in one of the corners, grooming herself, then quietly observing.
Luna went and grabbed a pair to put on, "I don't have a preference, so you can d-decide."
"We have some training blades over there if you want to do that," Cyrus suggested, "It's not quite the same as wielding a real sword, but I don't want any injuries for either of us."
Luna nodded and started her way towards the fake blades, "I und-derstand. Let's use them th-then."
Cyrus grabbed one of the heavier training blades and placed both hands on the sword's hilt and held it out slightly in front of him.
Luna grabbed two of the smaller lighter blades. She put one in each hand and twirled them around in her finger tips, they had a light feathery feel to them. Not exactly what she was used too.
"Alright, just take a swing at me when you're ready," Cyrus said, holding his blade up to block.
Luna nodded as her body seemed to completely relax. Her body moved on it's own as she swiftly struck at Cyrus with a blinding speed.
Cyrus dropped the hilt of his blade a couple of inches, just fast enough for the first strike to glance off his sword. He pushed back as their weapons clashed in an effort to get Luna further away from him.
