Lily beamed and nodded, skipping over and sitting in front of Blaine. Will huffed a little and reluctantly followed, mumbling something under his breath.
“What was that, William?” Blaine asked, quirking an eyebrow at the boy. “I didn’t catch what you said.”
"I said that this is stupid." William said a little louder, sitting down.
“Oh, this is far from stupid. Come on, just listen. Andion is a great storyteller,” Blaine declared, squeezing her love’s hand.
Andion chuckled softly, flicking through the pages of his book, "I wouldn't say I'm a great storyteller, that's a bit of a stretch."
“Well, you’re a great one according to your girlfriend,” Blaine said, poking him in the side playfully as she smiled up at him.
Andion chuckled softly, batting her hand away, “Alright alright,” He flicked through the pages of the book before settling on one.
Blaine leaned into Andion’s side as she listened to him read. She could never get tired of hearing his voice, especially not when he was reading a story.
Andion has picked a story he knew would interest William as well as Lily. One with dragons and battles as well as princes and princesse. It was a story he found dish for have much meaning but was still entertaining for the children.
Blaine looked up at Andion as he read, just as enraptured by the story as they two kids were. A smile stayed on her lips as she listened intently to what he read.
The story was fairly long and in places, slightly boring but Andion tried to make it interesting, using different voices and actions. But soon enough, the story was over.
Blaine reaches over and gently squeezed Andion’s arm, still smiling up at him. “That was a good story, love. What did you two think?” she asked, looking at the kids.
Lily grinned up at him, "It was amazing! W-When the prince slayed the dragon and then went to battle the villain for the princess! It was great!"
Blaine chuckled, nodding her agreement. “Yeah, that was pretty cool, huh?” Her gaze shifted to the older sibling, and she raised a brow. “William? What do you think?”
William just shrugged and drew circles on deck, "It was alright." He mumbled.
“Just all right? Are you sure?” Blaine pressed, chuckling. “I thought it was good.”
He sighed, "Fine! Fine I enjoyed it…"
Blaine grinned, nudging Andion. “Good job, love. You picked a good story.”
Andion smiled sheepishly, closing his book, "Thank-you, there are better ones but we can save them for another time."
“Sure. What should we do now?” Blaine asked, pushing herself to her feet.
Andion shrugged a shoulder, "No idea." He looked over to the other guy, who seemed to have disappeared into nothing as he was missing. Though he hadn't seen him move.
Blaine glanced around as well, her own eyes searching for the man. She frowned when she didn’t see him, turning to Andion with a brow raised in the silent question of, Where did he go?
Andion subtly shrugged. Luckily the kids were talking to each other so they didn't see.
Blaine’s frown deepened slightly, and she shook her head with a silent sigh. “Let’s go… stand by the rails or something,” she suggested.
Andion nodded, standing and holding his notebook to the side, “All right, love.”
