"Probably the smartest idea." Andion sighed, rubbing his jawline.
"Probably the smartest idea." Andion sighed, rubbing his jawline.
“Precisely way I suggested it,” Blaine teased with a wink up at him. “For now… What should we do?”
Andion just shrugged in response, “There isn’t really much to do here…” he mumbled.
Blaine hummed her agreement and nodded. “Yeah, that’s true… But you must have some ideas.”
“Wanna see who can race to the crows nest the fastest?” He suggested, raising a brow.
Blaine grinned, pulling away from him already. “You’re on, love. On three?”
Andion nodded, “On three. One… two…. three!” In the count he set off in a sprint, already starting to climb the ropes.
Blaine laughed as she ran after him. He might be stronger, but she was faster. She would be able to get there before him, even if he might be able to climb faster than she could. Were they going to climb? Or just race?
The crows nest was quite high up for obvious reasons and Andion had experience on a ship many times before. Yet somehow, he still slipped, putting him behind Blaine and he silently cursed himself.
Blaine laughed when he slipped, running past him. She reached the beam before he did and started to climb. At least she had a head start, this way.
Andion stuck his tongue out at Blaine, righting himself and starting to climb again. There was probably no way he was going to win.
Blaine may have been a fast runner, but she wasn’t the greatest at climbing. Granted, she was better than most people due to her previous job, but she still wasn’t the best they had had. Either way, she was still going to haul herself upwards until she reached the top.
Andion used all his strength to pull himself higher and higher, slowly gaining up up Blaine inch by inch. The crows nest seemed to be in view now.
Blaine just kept climbing. Even when she could feel Andion so close, she didn’t stop. So she kept climbing, determined to beat him.
They were neck and neck, Andion right on Blaine's heels but at the last second they both managed to get to the top at the same time.
Blaine laughed, looking over at Andion. She grinned as she held on tight.
“Well… I guess neither of us won, then. What’s the prize for that?” she asked, her eyes sparkling mischievously.
Andion shrugged a shoulder, chuckling lightly, “No idea.”
Blaine hummed, shrugging. “How about we get down from here and just hang out for a bit?”
"Sounds good to me." Andion replied, starting to climb back down but slowly this time.
Blaine climbed down after Andion, being careful to not slip. Once they had reached the ground, she stood in front of him and wrapped her arms around his neck with a smile.
“When we get back on land,” she started in a murmur, “we should really start working out together again.”
(Boop.)
Andion chuckled lightly, resting his forehead against Blaine’s with a smile, “Yes, yes we should.”
Blaine bumped their noses together gently, smiling up at him. “Maybe we can get through a session without ending up in bed again.”
Andion smirked, giving her a squeeze, "I don't know if that is entirely possible when you look so hot fighting and training the way you do."
“Hey, I’m not the one who works out shirtless and shows off my abs,” Blaine hummed, running her fingers through his hair with a smirk of her own.
