Arthur curled into him, hyperventilating as he tried his best to calm down.
Arthur curled into him, hyperventilating as he tried his best to calm down.
Mikhail murmured soothing stuff in Arthur's ear, letting him cry if he wanted to.
Eventually the wings and scales vanished, and Arthur managed to look up at Mikhail, hiccuping a little.
Mikhail smiled kindly at Arthur when he looked up, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Feeling better now?"
Arthur nodded, still trembling in the other's arms.
Mikhail gently rubbed his back, glancing around them. "We should get going…"
Arthur shivered again, but nodded pulling shakily away to get to his feet.
Mikhail also stood up, holding Arthur's hand as they walked to his house.
Arthur leaned in close to Mikhail, feeeling guilty that he was the one that broke when Mikhail needed him.
Mikhail also leaned in close, feeling like he was going to collapse at any second. The pair finally made it to Mikhail's house and opened the door to see George looking very worried, instantly getting up and going over to Mikhail. "Mikhail! W-What happened? What did he do to you?"
Arthur found himself half leaning on and half supporting Mikhail as they walked, he didn't really comprehend the fact that they were headed back to Mikhail's house.
Mikhail didn't say anything as he headed upstairs, not wanting to talk as he went into his bathroom to get a first aid kit. He put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball then dabbed the cuts on his face, quietly wincing.
Arthur would've followed him, but he barely managed to make it to the couch before crumpling. Everything was still sore from the transformation, and he hated it.
George knelt down beside Arthur. "You okay?" Mikhail finished disinfecting all his wounds, sighing after he finished. He wrapped his left hand in gauze and put on a few bandages on his face so the cuts wouldn't get infected.
Arthur shook his head, still trembling as he remembered years of agony.
George looked worried again. "What happened?" He asked gently.
"I… I found Mikhail… tied up… in his dad's attic…." said Arthur, "I.. I got him out… but…" he trailed off, not wanting to try and explain.
"But what?" George asked gently, trying his best to comfort Arthur.
Arthur curled in on himself. "It..it's really hard to explain…" he said quietly, How do I explain that everything hurts when I'm uninjured?!
George looked a bit confused now. "Just forget about Mikhail for a second, explain what happened to you, not him."
"I.. I'm a Chaosae warrior…." he said softly, "But it wasn't supposed to happen… and.. other things happened…. and now all my magic is fucked… and whenever I tap into my chaos auras…. I transform… and… it hurts." he choked out that last part through tears.
"What's a Choasea warrior?" George asked gently, enveloping Arthur in a hug and gently rubbing his back.
"Supposedly they're….. a guardian of a powerful…. kind of magic…. the only one who can….. use it in…. an entire generation…" he said between tears. "This generation it happened…. just happened to be me…. and I hate it more than anything……"
"It's okay, it's fine. Is it like a monthly transformation?" George asked gently, letting Arthur cry.
"No…. it only happens when I try to use my powers…." said Arthur, starting to calm down a little, "Like when I actually try to protect people…."
